It’s the 25th anniversary ofThe Legend of Zelda, and those expecting more than we’ve already been told we’re getting are set to be disappointed. Both president Satoru Iwata and designer Shigeru Miyamoto have shot down the idea of doing a celebratory collection.
We recently had a (rather crappy) collection ofMariogames to celebrate the plumber’s 25th, but no such honor shall be given to Link. Apparently, doing another compilation “isn’t the Nintendo way,” which makes absolutely no logical sense to me.

Fortunately, there’s still plenty to look forward to. As well asa bunch of concerts, we haveLink’s Awakeningon the 3DS eShop, and a free version ofFour Swordsin September. Not to mention,Ocarina of Time 3D(review coming later today!) andSkyward Sword. That’s a lot of green-hatted chicanery to be getting on with.
