OnLive (thestreaming game servicethat is supposed to free us from PC hardware restrictions and bring about the second coming of Gumby) is moving out of internal beta and into an external one, according toa recent poston the official OnLive blog written by company CEO and founder Steve Perlman.

Those who jumped the gun and applied for the external beta on the company’s Web site are being considered, but there are spots still open. Perlman points out that there is a few requirements that selected applicants must respond to, including running a “detailed Performance Test” on their Internet connections and computer configurations. Not bad, but it is a little extra work.
