Grand Theft Auto IV DLC sorta delayed

During a financial results call today, Take-Two Interactive revealed a not-too-shocking truth — Xbox 360-exclusive downloadable content forGrand Theft Auto IVwon’t be available until the company’s 2009 fiscal year. In English, what that means is that the DLC could be available anywhere between June 12, 2025, and July 14, 2025. It may pain you to know that the much-hyped pieces of DLC could possibly already be complete; Take-Two says the delay is only “in order to provide a better balance in Take-Two’s release schedule....

Guitar Hero World Tour: Zakk Wylde and Hayley Williams getting their mo-cap on

Activision has released a couple of new videos touting a couple of their prized rock star participants inGuitar Hero: World Tour. The clip above shows Zakk Wylde, Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist and the frontman for his Black Label Society, donning a motion capture suit and jumping about like a lunatic. The second video, which you can find after the jump, features Hayley Williams of Paramore doing much the same, although I won’t deny that she’s more appealing than Wylde....

Hanabi Festival hits Europe’s Virtual Console March 12th

For a few years now, Nintendo of American and Nintendo of Europe have used Japan’s fireworks-based holiday, the Hanabi Festival, as an excuse to release Japan-only Virtual Consoles games in their respective regions. That’s how we gotSin and Punishmenthere in the States, as well as the baby-powered platformerBio Miracle Bokutte Upa, the oily-buttock poweredCho Aniki, and that weird sequel toMilon’s Secret Castlethat no one liked. Looks like Nintendo Europe is continuing the Hanabi tradition this year with a few pretty kick-ass games....

Here’s Xenoblade’s battle system

At long last, we have some actualgameplayto go with ourXenobladecontent. The promising Wii JRPG has existed only in the form of flashy cutscenes and still images thus far, but this new Japanese trailer reveals the battle system in all its glory. Characters attack automatically, while the player selects various “Arts” such as “Light Heal” or “Shadow Eye” and other pompously named abilities. Allies tend to fight of their own accord, and as the characters battle, they fill up a “Party Gauge” that allows for “Chain Attacks” to be used....

Hey! Those aren’t the Ninja Turtles!

The game is calledNinja Turtles. The thumbnail is a picture of the Ninja Turtles. My friends, these are not the Ninja Turtles. Dear God. Some clown must have had five minutes to kill and decided to play a big joke on iOS users. By ripping backgrounds fromContra, effects fromMetal Slug, and possibly other game assets, then incorporating the world’s sh*ttiest MS Paint art, this punk has duped a number of unsuspecting iThing users into dropping five bucks, thinking they were getting a game about those loveable, pizza-noshing amphibians....

Infinity Blade drops price to $2.99

The Epic/ChAIR slash ’em upInfinity Bladehas had a generous turn today, dropping its price to $2.99 for no discernible reason. There’s usually a temporary cut following a major update, but today it’s cheap for the fun of it. If you haven’t picked up the game yet, I strongly suggest you do it today, as there’s more than enough content to justify a three dollar investment. As well as the main game, in which you duel enemies in a bid to crush the God King, the game features online play, a challenge mode, and extra content that has been offered since launch....

Interview: Nintendo’s Bill Trinen on Wii Sports Resort

At Nintendo’sWii Sports Resortlaunch eventin Times Square yesterday, I was able to speak briefly with the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Nintendo of America, Bill Trinen. (You may recognize him as the translator for the company’s Japanese leaders,Shigeru Miyamotoand Satoru Iwata.) Trinen seemed to be in high spirits, even as it began to drizzle at the tail end of the day’s festivities; I suspect he was happy that the event had been such a success....

Well, the game finally made it toWiiWare in Japan, but according to the game’s official blog, we haven’t seen the game out of its native country yet because of the “Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle”.
