Dozens of game journalists, bloggers, and industry types came together at an event in Seattle last night. Capcom’sStreet Fightergames exist in a strange reality. They’ve got the hugely muscular characters usually found in American comics, the “so good at martial arts that I can throw magic from my hands” logic usually seen in manga and anime, and a few celebrity guests like Bruce Lee, Andre the Giant, and Mike Tyson thrown in to boot. There isn’t another sci-fi/fantasy reality that’s quite like it. Although this world first saw light in the realm of videogames, it has since spread to books, comics, TV, and movies....

At a recent New York City Project Natal demo event,MTV Multiplayerbusted out the stopwatch. The delay, or lag if you will, between what was happening on the screen compared to the player’s movements was about a tenth of a second. Microsoft quickly responded, saying the demo was a “proof of concept,” and that the “development team had been hard at work perfecting the technology over the past eight months and will continue to do so....

Dynasty Warriors 6: Empiresis out next month, which is great to hear because we haven’t had a newDWtitle inweeks. As you may already know,Empiresis Koei’s strategic spin-off, which tries to add a little more brainwork to the usual button-mashing fiasco. Don’t worry though, there’s still plenty of hack n’ slash chicanery.
