Legendary game maker Shigeru Miyamoto has the touch of gold not only in videogames, but also in signed game merchandise. DS Phat systems go for next to nothing at my local game trading shops, but this one would probably pull in top dollar. Or wait. No it wouldn’t. Those asholes offered some guy $15 for the firstLunargame for Sega CD. Fck those guys. This DS is “Pure White” and signed by Shigeru Miyamoto....

Activision has announced that the secondCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2map pack, called the “Resurgence Pack,” will hit Xbox LIVE on June 3. No details on the pack have been released, but we do know that it will feature five new maps. No word on a PlayStation 3 or PC release; we’re checking in with Activision to see if we can get more details. Stay tuned.

This week I’m using a simple yet strategic theme. I’ve included some really old game covers to make things last a little longer, plus a few duplicates for each keyword. Weheard a rumora long time ago that the developers ofBlackwere making a new first-person-shooter, and that same bit of gossip has reared its head once more, accompanied by fresh details. This time, the project has been confirmed by Codemasters, who has been revealed as a co-conspirator. The new game is being designed by Stuart Black, senior designer on Criterion’s popular 2005 shooter, and a man conceited enough to share a name with his own game....

Midway has just sent us a fresh batch of hot and steamyMortal KombatArmageddonscreenshots for the Wii. And, of course, these screenshots include a little hand action to demonstrate how you or your little brother or sister would play the game. Look at the pictures. Aren’t they pretty?

Instead of the omnious countdown timer we get a beautiful lake with the moon and birds flying in the night sky, all set to lovely guitar music. This is way better. It tells us nothing, but at least it’s peaceful. Namco Bandai gives us next to nothing on what this new site is teasing. Despite major hype andrecord-breaking pre-order boasts, the Nintendo 3DS did not sell out and is pretty easy to come by in most territories.
