The Memory Card .73: Death by funnel

“The Memory Card” is a seasonal feature that dissects and honors some of the most artistic, innovative, and memorable videogame moments of all time. Halloween is always such a fun time for me. Not necessarily because I like dressing up or eating a lot of candy (hey, I do that all year long!). No, Halloween is great because it is an excuse for me to go back and play some of my favorite horror videogames....

Developed by the team behindPersona 3and4andShin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, the new action-adventure title skews – as promised – towards the adult range of the spectrum, oozing style, sexiness, Japanese rap, and…walking lambs that wear ties....

Finally, it has arrived — this week’s selection ofRock Banddownloadables includes the song in question, a cover of “Last Train to Clarksville,” the Monkees classic that will have you dancing on your couch....

Tom Clancy’s Guitar Band Revolution: Ubisoft seeks designer for new music game

So apparently, music games are popular. I didn’t notice, but maybe Ubisoft did. The developer’s San Francisco-based offices are seeking a lead designer to “help guide the creation of an exciting new cross-platform music based game.” The job listing, found onGamasutra, is very specific about seeking a “highly talented, motivated and experienced person.” So the folks who worked on the Hannah Montana plug-n-play guitar game need not apply. When they say “cross-platform,” they’re not kidding — the listing specifically mentions PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii among the platforms....
