Bruce Campbell proves the Wii is for big-chinned badasses, too

That’s right: it appears that the Wii’s accessible controls not only make it the system of choice forgrandmas and fat chicks, but also personal heroes of mine. Inthis interviewsent to us by BlindsideDork, Bruce ‘The Man Who Would be Ash’ Campbell states that “I was pretty good on the primitive games —Asteroids,Berserk, etc, but the only ‘video system’ I can use is the Wii.” Truth be told, I’m not sure what’s more awesome: the fact that Campbell still refers to consoles as “video systems,” or the mental image of Brisco County Jr....

Comic-Con is staying in San Diego

San Diego is nice, I guess. It’s a boring kind of nice, with blandly nice people, sufficiently nice food, and painfully predictable (but nice) weather. It’s where you go to live a flat, pleasant, unexciting but mostly inoffensive life. They have a lot of Walgreens locations. And a pier. And sun. Blah. Let’s get real: the only time the California city is exciting is during the summer, during Comic-Con. After a long stint there, Comic-Con was talking about getting the fudge out of town to where the exhibit space was cheaper and where the asshole hotel owners wouldn’t price hike and financially ruin the guests for their stay during the event....

Could the Sands of Time return to a Prince of Persia videogame?

Last week, Destructoid had the pleasure of chatting withPrince of Persiaproducer Ben Mattes about his upcoming game, the franchise’s history and the movie. As you may have gathered by now, the newPrince of Persiagame features a brand new Prince in a whole new universe. We like the old Prince and theSands of Timetrilogy, so naturally we asked if we’d ever see a return. “I mean, never say ‘never.’ I think theSands of Timetrilogy had a really interesting hook to it, a really kind of interesting theme to it,” explained Mattes....

Destructoid LIVE at PAX Prime: Stuff that’s happening

We were driving back to LAX after E3, talking about the Destructoid PAX Panel. Destructoid LIVE is the fruit of that panic. At10:30am on Saturday, at the Unicorn Theater, you are cordially invited to attend a morning of fun, prizes, and an exclusive game reveal....

Destructoid review: Strong Bad Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands

With this, Strong Bad’s third episode in a planned five-part series, the honeymoon period is officially over. Any of the initial thrill that longtime fans of Strong Bad may have gotten from seeing their favorite Web cartoon character make the jump to a leading role in a videogame has likely come to an end. Now the series really needs to step up it up in order to maintain the interest of both people like myself (who could have cared less about the character before these games hit), and Anthony Burch (who was very familiar with the mountains ofcompletely freeStrong Bad comedy already around before these games came into existence)....

Destructoid’s games of the week for 15-05-2025: News is sexy edition!

Normally this is the space where I get to say whatever random verbal ordure pops into my head to either giggles or confused shuffling, but today I want to highlight a recent news article that is easily more entertaining than anything I could fabricate. Here’s a quote fromBoing Boing: The Daily Telegraphreports on a bizarre case in which a man staying at a hostel was surprised by workers with a master key, having sex with a bicycle....
