The reality is a little sweeter, as Hideo Kojima has confirmed that you’re actually gettingMetal Gear Solid: Subsistence. For those who don’t know,Subsistenceis an enhanced version ofSnake Eater. As well as the regular game, it also contains the MSX versions of the originalMetal GearandMetal Gear 2. That’s like, two extra games, man....

New parental controls for the Xbox 360 have been launched under the“Safety is no game. Is your family set?”campaign, which uses the combined forces of Microsoft, the Parent Teacher Association, and famed football Super Bowl champion Jerry Rice. Wow, what a tag team! They’ve launced a new tool called theXbox 360 Family Timer. This feature (coming in early December) lets mom and pop restrict children’s activity time and can be set on a per-day or per-week basis....

We already had a good idea this was comingbased on a trademark, but Namco Bandai has officially announced Mr. Driller: Drill Till You Drop. Set for release as a downloadable DSiWare title this April, the game will feature 40 stages, six playable drillers, and multiple modes — “Mission” and “Time Attack.” And because of the dual screens, Namco says a “new strategic element” is added because you can see the next batch of incoming blocks....

Square-Enix’s recent updates to their website prove that Chocobo games are indeed aimed at kids, which points out that I am clearly perfectly happy being a thirty year old kid. They are offering an arts and crafts contest to celebrate the upcoming release ofChocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: The Labyrinth of Lost Time. RememberR.U.S.E.? You know, the real-time strategy game that promised to bring a whole new level of scope to the genre? G4 got an exclusive trailer forShatterand really, after watchingone trailer for a puzzle game, you’re pretty much set. So why the post? Because the music is fantastic. I’m in love withShatter’ssoundtrack just as much as I’m in love with the gameplay. I really hope the soundtrack forShattergoes on sale. Come to think of it, the last time I was this excited for a game’s soundtrack was forWipeout 3actually. Also, we do see some of the bosses in this new trailer so it definitely is worth a watch....
