Happy 2nd Anniversary Destructoid!! + Niero’s Birthday-versary Song

I present to you the newI KILL PXLSsong:“Niero’s Birthday-versary Song”. Just over a year ago, I started to get fed up with the “big” name sites and how they were mostly just PR mouthpieces. Conveniently around that time I was contacted by Flynn De Marco who wanted to feature my art on some Web sites. “I can get you on Kotaku and Destructoid” he told me, and I immediately thought “What the hell are those?...

Hipster fashion chronicles Nintendo family tree [Update!]

Nothing says “I dropped out of college to pursue a career as an Internet comedian” better than wearing a gorgeous gaming shirt, like the one pictured above. This particular shirt combines both the retro and the neo-post-whatever into one stunning monochrome package, for an elegant look that will impress both future employers (if your goal is to work atBarcade) and beautiful women (who also happen to be dudes) alike. Gaming shirts have become so commonplace recently that you may’t swing a dead cat in the Pearl district without hitting a gangly ex-member of The Postal Service wearing a shirt that proudly proclaims his love forDonkey Kong Jr....

Indie Nation #29: Knytt Stories

The originalKnyttis, as much as any two-year-old game with an intentionally low-res graphical style can be, an indie classic. It combined the isolated feeling ofShadow of the Colossuswith the large-scale exploration ofMetroid, all within an aesthetically lush framework. InKnytt, the player could never attack, but could also never lose. It was a game of exploration and relaxation. That, and the controls were absolutelyperfect. Knytt Storiesis like that, but even better....

Kill robots with subtraction in Math Blaster in the Prime Adventure for the DS

When they say “learning is fun,” that’s usually a load of bulls**t. Everyone knows that elementary school kids would rather be blasting aliens, climbing trees, or snorting blow off of stripper’s backs. But when it comes the popular PC learning gameMath Blaster, fun always did enter the equation, sans gutter glitter and a girl named Candy. And now, Majesco is bringing the fun to the Nintendo DS asMath Blaster in the Prime Adventure!...

Man goes on f*cking mad rampage after playing a Wii game

Time for yet another “violent rampage vaguely connected to videogames” story, because we know you love those so much. This one’s a real winner though. A man playing an unspecified Wii game allegedly got so frustrated that he bit his mother in the ankle, shot a window, then hit a pedestrian with his car. Wow. Police were called to the trailer park (obviously) after James Williams embarked on the twisted brainwrong of a one-off man mental....

McFarlane shows off pictures of their Guitar Hero III Slash figure

[As originally posted onTomopop] I happen to knowMcFarlane toyshave it in them to create great collectibles. The Manga Spawn series is an excellent example, and theirCall of Dutyfigures are perfection down to the last detail. That being said, the frustration with the newest pics of this exclusive Slash fromGuitar Hero IIIis not the quality overall — obviously it’s well made. But what is with that face, man? Slash definitely hides under hair, that I would never question....
