At first I thought all the fatalities were cool in thisMortal Kombatcompilation. That is until I started realizing that every character is made out of paper or something if they can be torn apart so easily. My favorite of the bunch though is the fatality that pays homage toMortal Kombat Vs DC Universe.
When I first checked outMLB 11 The Showa few weeks ago, I spent a portion of the hands-on demo playing the game in 3D. I also tried the Home Run Derby mode, which debutedlast yearand now supports PlayStation Move. Sony San Diego patched in 3D support forMLB 10, but the studio enhanced the implementation this year, and even as a person who doesn’t particularly care for 3D one way or another, I have to admit that it looks fantastic....
The Witcherwas a highly ambitious RPG and one which achieved considerable praise upon release. Yup, that Warhawk expansion pack thatGame Informerrevealed last monthis the real deal. Called “Operation: Omega Dawn,” the expansion will be available this December, and unfortunately, there’s not much to it. “Operation: Omega Dawn” delivers one new map, the Omega Factor, which has players fighting through five new layouts of buildings and towers. The map will support all existing multiplayer modes, and is said to be the largest map designed for the game to date....
The PSP was the best selling system in Japan last week. Kind of. According to the Media Create (found onEdge) sales numbers, Sony continues to beat out Nintendo in both portables and consoles, with the PSP selling 35,734 systems and the PS3 selling 33, 057 systems for the week of August 15th. But, if you take all the various DS systems and group them together, well…of course they’re going to be on top....
Wow. Crazy. The supersized Japanese girl groupSKE48(yes, they’re related to the other girl gaggle, AKB48) is working with Microsoft to push Kinect. And this isn’t just some commercial appearances (though members Rena and Jurina Matsui will be in Japanese commercials for the device), but actual musical performances. Hell, they’re even releasing a Kinect-themed single called “Two Roses.” That’s right. There’s going to be a Kinect song. My experience with the originalJust Causeconsisted of hopping in a plane, flying really high into the air, then jumping out of said plane and falling until I hit the ground really hard. I can’t get over the stuff people make to raise money for Penny Arcade’s now-famousChild’s Playcharity. It makes me proud to pick up a controller every day (not to mention I’d like a lot of this swag for myself.) It was an interesting gaming situation, sitting down to play a RTS in the Russian Consulate in San Francisco, eating very Slavic food (caviar and pickled asparagus) and trying to keep up with an amazingly complex game. And that was exactly my problem as I started upXIII Century: Blood of Europe, an expansion pack to the originalXIII Centurythat came out last year. Published by 1C Company and developed by Unicorn Games, this is an incredibly in-depth RTS coming out this Summer in a new gold package with everything included on the disk, first game and all....
Valve has confirmed that some handy changes are coming toLeft 4 Dead 2‘s Versus mode, mostly giving a little boost to those of the Infected persuasion. Infected teams who find themselves lacking a few players will no longer have to go it alone, as Infected bots will now replace missing players as standard. Another really helpful change will be the fact that auto-spawns no longer happen during finales. This is splendidly good news as the auto-spawns inLeft 4 Dead 2started getting really borked....
