Here’s every fatality from the new Mortal Kombat

At first I thought all the fatalities were cool in thisMortal Kombatcompilation. That is until I started realizing that every character is made out of paper or something if they can be torn apart so easily. My favorite of the bunch though is the fatality that pays homage toMortal Kombat Vs DC Universe.

Impressions: MLB 11 The Show (3D, HR Derby with PS Move)

When I first checked outMLB 11 The Showa few weeks ago, I spent a portion of the hands-on demo playing the game in 3D. I also tried the Home Run Derby mode, which debutedlast yearand now supports PlayStation Move. Sony San Diego patched in 3D support forMLB 10, but the studio enhanced the implementation this year, and even as a person who doesn’t particularly care for 3D one way or another, I have to admit that it looks fantastic....

Impressions: The Witcher 2

The Witcherwas a highly ambitious RPG and one which achieved considerable praise upon release. Praised for its deep storyline with morally gray decisions guiding the player, most everyone I know who has played the game enjoyed it considerably. Now, armed with a new engine and the promise that the game will actually make it to consoles this time,The Witcher 2looks to be an even stronger offering. CD Projekt has revamped the way combat works in the game....

Introducing the Wiibrator, or, how to diddle yourself with a Wiimote

If I find I have, ahem, “needs”, I can honestly say that the last thing I consider doing is satisfying them with a Wiimote, but you know, different strokes for different folks. It seems some folks at Bauhaus University Weimar are working on this project — you can see their websitehere, which is nothing more than a handful of photos and the phrase “We search man and woman for a commercial....

Just Cause 2 lays out how to blow stuff up good

My experience with the originalJust Causeconsisted of hopping in a plane, flying really high into the air, then jumping out of said plane and falling until I hit the ground really hard. Best game ever? Damn near it. That’s why it excites me to see thatJust Cause 2is putting aneven great emphasison the ridiculous stunts you can do in the game as these two new videos demonstrate. In the video above we get to check out how one can blow stuff up while jumping over it in a sports car and still land with one’s hairdo perfectly in tact....

Kingdom Hearts 2 Keyblade replica helps to raise money for Child’s Play

I can’t get over the stuff people make to raise money for Penny Arcade’s now-famousChild’s Playcharity. It makes me proud to pick up a controller every day (not to mention I’d like a lot of this swag for myself.) Most recent in the lineup is a painstakingly detailed replica if the Ultima Keyblade fromKingdom Hearts. The current bid is $560 and the auction is through December 3rd. TheEbay listingsays 35% of the profits will be donated to Child’s Play, but if you read the FAQ it states that they actually want to donate 100% of the profits, so if you intend to bid you might want to clear that up beforehand....

Learn medieval Russian battle history in XIII Century! Woo!

It was an interesting gaming situation, sitting down to play a RTS in the Russian Consulate in San Francisco, eating very Slavic food (caviar and pickled asparagus) and trying to keep up with an amazingly complex game. And that was exactly my problem as I started upXIII Century: Blood of Europe, an expansion pack to the originalXIII Centurythat came out last year. Published by 1C Company and developed by Unicorn Games, this is an incredibly in-depth RTS coming out this Summer in a new gold package with everything included on the disk, first game and all....

Left 4 Dead 2 gets Infected bots, ditches auto-spawns

Valve has confirmed that some handy changes are coming toLeft 4 Dead 2‘s Versus mode, mostly giving a little boost to those of the Infected persuasion. Infected teams who find themselves lacking a few players will no longer have to go it alone, as Infected bots will now replace missing players as standard. Another really helpful change will be the fact that auto-spawns no longer happen during finales. This is splendidly good news as the auto-spawns inLeft 4 Dead 2started getting really borked....
