Whilethere are thosethat have argued that blood-soaked brawlerMadWorldspoils the family image of the Wii, developerPlatinum Games believesthat its upcoming title feels “at home” on Nintendo’s console. Well, different strokes for different folks, as they say. Platinum Games’ Atsushi Inaba believes that his game fits on the Wii thanks to its pick up and play style.“We’re really interested in the Wii platform so we wanted to create a really cool and stylish game for that,” he explains....

It is the first day of 2009 and it is already the best yearever. Valve may not have graced the Wii with any titles so far, and may not ever do so, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t care. Gabe Newellhas confessedthat he actually loves the Wii, and if Valve were any bigger, we may very well have heard about an MMO on the plucky white waggle box by now. The thing is I’m a big fan of the Wii in terms of a lot of the interesting things that it does, and we have absolutely zero Wii games in development....

While all of thefinalists of Parsons “LittleBigPlanet Game Jam”were impressive, only one creative team could go home with the $1,000 prize. That distinction went to Team Good Sportsmanship, who took home the “Best of Jam” prize for theirShadow of the Colossus-inspired design. As you can see in the above presentation, the level hasLittleBigPlanet‘s hero Sackboy working his way through the insides of a hulking, moving beast. Making his way through the beast’s intestines, through its beating heart, and eventually out of its mouth, Sackboy eventually topples the monster and saves the day....

But the United States is finally getting theirs this April, and we’ve come across the chance to nab the very first one that comes out here. And the deal is that the winning bidder gets to go to Nintendo’s Redmond HQ and pick up the first DS for themselves....

We’re still waiting for the Destructoid crew to phone in the closing comments of their firsthand experience with theMetal Gear Solid 4demo at the E For All show, but in the meantime the guys atGameAlmighty(see, even the “Almighty” love us!) were kind enough to share an insightful interview they had with Ryan Payton, who happens to be the man responsible for overseeing the game’s production from start to finish. WildStaris anew massively multiplayer online gamefrom the folks at NCsoft, and Carbine Studios. So far, it’s known that the setting will hinge on sci-fi with a hint of fantasy to it, and not much else. Attached is the gamescom trailer that debuted the game. In it, we can see that Carbine is aiming for a striking aesthetic that seems influenced not just by some other MMOs, but also from comic and anime sources....
