A man wanted on drug charges fell prey an addiction of his own — tracked down by cops thanks to his obsession withWorld of Warcraft. Alfred Hightower of Howard County, Indiana fled to Canada to avoid the rap for his drug dealing ways, only to be tracked down in Azeroth. Detective Matt Robertson had learned of Hightower’sWoWaddiction after gathering information from a childhood friend of the dealer. He subpoenaed Activision Blizzard for more details, and was able to receive the tools he needed to track Hightower down....

E3 08: New 80GB PlayStation 3 model coming out this September

EA Sports helping the Earth, ditches printed manuals

The days of the printed instruction manual may be numbered. EA Sports has joined the likes of Ubisoft in ditching printed manuals altogether, the publisher has confirmed. The change started with the release ofFight Night Champion, which shipped only with a slip containing an online pass code (and aCrysis 2ad on the flipside), along with small warranty pamphlet. EA will not be banning people from games because of message board conduct
