Like most DS owners, I carry mine with me for a lot of reasons: having a few games at my disposal during time in the doctor’s waiting room or on a bus is a great way to kill time that would otherwise leave me fidgity. I can’t say I’ve ever whipped out the DS in a restauraunt, but its not because I haven’t wanted to. I just didn’t want to seem rude....

Let me say that thanks to my beloved Destructoid, I spend a lot of time in airports. Waiting in lines, waiting to check in, waiting for security to mess up my neatly organized suitcase, waiting for a grumpy ticket mistress to give me attitude about changing a seat, etc. Due to this experience and a matter of personal preference, I hate airports with a passion. Honestly,Batman: Arkham Asylumis an impressive game as it is. The combat is satisfying, the stealth is remarkably fun, and hey, you can’t exactly top the Dark Knight, at least not in my book. Next summer, Bohemia Interactive is giving us a break from last-action-hero modern warfare with another one of its frighteningly realistic (but still totally heroic) military sims. Yep, it’s none other thanArma 3. This one is taking us behind enemy lines on a Mediterranean island — one modeled after “real geographic data,” no less — for its open-ended story. Looking at the features being touted here, it seems like more of the same, but improved....

Gain experience and level up ten times as you help out the murloc village. With dozens of items to collect, spells to learn, and enemies to kill, this game will take at least an hour to beat.
Tickets to this year’s BlizzCon — the yearly mecca for fans of Blizzard’s incredibly successful franchises — have now gone on sale for the (very pricey) sum of $100 a piece. They can be ordered from theofficial site. BlizzCon 2008 will taking place in Anaheim California at the Anaheim Convention Center on October 10 and 11.
