Who says that being laid off can’t be fun? Four victims of Electronic Arts’ Pandemic closure created their own studio — suitably named Downsized Games — and have taken to that most lucrative of ventures, iPhone game development. Their first title,Bullet Train,will be seen as either petty or amusing, depending on what you think of EA. Bullet Traintasks players as members of a small shipping company on the planet Glendon 19, a reference to Pandemic’s former LA offices....

RememberF.E.A.R. 2: Reborn? It’s the first single-player expansion for the super spooky shooter with too much punctuation,F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. We got a small taste of what the content will offer — mech action, stealth segments, etc., — through the smooth words of game producer Lucas Meyersearlier this month. But now you don’t need to lean on text to make your purchase decision: a demo for the expansion is available on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network....

EA Sports has released this new trailer talking with Kantcho Doskov, one of the animators on the team forFIFA 12. The trailer focuses on the various tricks you can do in the game while showing off the new ball physics. While not all the moves are completely new to the series, even the old and established ones are being changed up thanks to the ball behaving differently every time you do the trick....

From the Wolverine like enemies, to the epic dismemberment abilities the scythe gives you, this game is going to be pure tits....

The trailer doesn’t reveal much, except that the game seems to be sticking closely to the tried and trueGod of Warformula. You know, Kratos is angry and rips people apart with his blades. Story wise, it appears that the game will focus on the legend of Kratos, rather than advancing any narrative players have followed on the consoles....

Well, it was deceptiveto me.I knew nothing aboutFractured Soulbefore watching this video and my first thought was that this was some sort of mediocre download title (or a pretty impressive Xbox Live Indie Game). Imagine my surprise when it zooms out to show the dual-screen action and I realize that it’s actually a promising DS game. I know that this isn’t the first game to make use of both screens in such a manner, but that’s a good thing....

So uh, with being required to putsomethingbefore the break and all, what should I talk about this time?Red Dead Redemption, again? Okay, if you say so! I only recently got around to wrapping up the story myself, and then quickly realized I’d much rather pretend the ending didn’t happen — thank goodness for multiple save files. This way, I get to continue on my crazy bear-slaying adventures forever. Let’s open this up to the rest of y’all....

Conrad:A lot ofScene It!,after picking it up on the cheap. It’s so accessible that all of my friends, even the ones who don’t play videogames at all, had a really good time with it. I played through the 360 version ofMega Man 9after I heard spurious rumors that the analog controls were sufficient for playing the game. While it’s true that you can manage with that control method, you are working against yourself in an already challenging game if you choose to go that route....

Beginning on Monday, February 21, GameStop locations throughought the US will be offering Celebi as a free download for the non-spin offPokemonDS library (Diamond,HeartGold, etc.). This will continue through March 6, just in time for the North American launch ofBlackandWhite. The Celebi in question knows Nasty Plot, a move which increases the Special Attack stat and cannot be obtained through your average Pokemon training. Heck, I would gladly take a plain old Celebi — any extra moves are an added bonus....
