Relic has been hard at work it seems, for the company has released a rather large update forWarhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IIcontaining both bug fixes and even a little bit of new content for good measure. For starters, there’s two all-new four-player maps (“Medean Cliff Mines” and “Ruins of Argus”), two vs. two for ranked matches, “Push to Talk” for voice chat, and a few other things like additional kill animations and a benchmarking tool....

Activision has announced that actors Shia “No No No” LeBeouf and Megan “her hotness burns my retinas” Fox are lending their voices to theTransformers: Revenge of the Fallenvideogame. My 3DS systems (2!) are lonely. Sad and lonely. I’ve blown through all the launch games and there’s really nothing in the way of downloadable games yet, so it’s really just a machine for short, dailyFind Miisessions. But how sad is that? Britain’s Entertainment Retailers Association has released a list of the top ten selling entertainment products in 2009 and topping the list isModern Warfare 2. The game has sold 2.9 million copies in the UK, beating unit sales of major releases such asTwilightandQuantum of Solaceon DVD. Second place went toHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but the distance is considerable with only 2.2 million units sold. Despite the fact that the name makes it sound like some kind of sleazy dwarf porno, SouthPeak Games’Big Bang Miniis nothing more than a fireworks-based shooter for the Nintendo DS. Damn it. But getting past the initial disappointment,Big Bang Minidoes have an interesting premise — using blasts of fireworks in the sky to take out approaching enemies. You use the stylus to create fireworks, but if you miss, you’ll be forced to avoid falling sparks created by your explosions....
Available now, NCsoft has just released a free-to-play MMO calledDungeon Runners. Though it is playable at no cost, if you’d like access to just a bit more, the company is charging $4.99 per month for the content. Here’ssome infoon the differences: Users can download Dungeon Runners for free via NCsoft’s online destination, PlayNC Store, and then play it for free. There is also the option for players to upgrade to a membership level which costs $4....
With E3 officially over, now is the time to get back to being excited over the games that are actually coming out in thenearfuture. One of these games isCave Story 3D. Releasing for the Nintendo 3DS on August 9th (only two more months!), the game will be a direct remake of the unbelievably classic originalCave Story, only this time redesigned with fancy 3D graphics! True, the original sprites are much moire charming, but there is something about this colorful new polygon look that still gets me excited....
