Take a look at Dragon Quest X’s new beasts and classes

Writing that headline made me want to create a game calledBeasts and Classes: Beat some Asses!, where you play as a human-type teacher who has to discipline-spank different Pokemon-like students, the ones who didn’t do their homework or talked too much in class or whatever. Anyway, here’s the latest report onDragon Quest X,the game that may simultaneously be the Wii’s last big-name release and the Wii U’s first must-have title. Here in the gallery, we have a look at six of the game’s job classes — Warrior, Martial Artist, Mage, Thief, Monk, and Minstrel....

Test Drive Unlimited 2 slams brakes, pushed to 2011

Atari has made the decision to delay the release of Eden Games’Test Drive Unlimited 2to early 2011. The developer says the new date will allow additional time to polish the title, the multiplayer experience in particular. “By moving the title’s release date to early 2011,” says Eden Games studio manager David Nadal, “we will be able to further advance the game and take into account consumer feedback to help ensure we deliver a great online lifestyle racing experience....

TGS 2007: The Last Remnant trailer wants this remnant to be your last

Okay, out of all the lame titles I’ve written today, that was the lamest. Anyway, the day of kick-arse trailers continues withThe Last Remnant, a new RPG coming to both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. You can forget yourBlue Dragon, this is the kind of thing I want to see more of when it comes to traditional Japanese role playing. Playing a decades old game mechanic in the new generation might be pretty rubbish, and in one sense it is, but we still want it, so who are the developers to do any different than deliver turn-based gaming to the masses?...

The Legendary Starfy is cute, we have pics to prove it

That legendary Starfy is petty damn legendary, but he’s never officially been out of Japan. That’s about to change with this game, the fifth in the series and the first to have a North American release. Whether or not we should be pleased about that, I’m unsure right now. Idoknow that Starfy is one adorable echinoderm. According to the world’s shorted press release,The Legendary Starfyis “a spectacular undersea adventure,” where players “swoop into enemies like a shooting star, glide over bottomless chasms and transform into powerful creatures to help a mysterious, bunny-eared visitor find his lost memory....

This week’s VC releases: Slam drunking, gambling addicted bottlenose week
