Weekend Destructainment: I’m a Bubbleman

Something about Hyadain’s work is so peaceful. He has a great art style and he’s such a great musician. The latest jam from Hyadain is a remix of the Bubbleman theme fromMega Man 2. Unlike Hyadain’s previous works, this one isn’t as homoerotic asCrash Man “Let’s Do It”. Destructainment is GO! After the break, listen to an awesomeMetal Gear Solid 2cover performed on an electric guitar. Next up, it’s a completely pointless video of Mario inMinesweeper....

Why we don’t have a date for Star Wars: The Old Republic

Some were hoping to hear a launch date for upcoming MMOStar Wars: The Old Republicduring EA’s earnings conference call today. But no. EA did give a couple of reasons for this. The first is that they don’t want the competition to have a heads up. That makes sense, especially considering the size of their primary competitor. But more importantly, they want to continue charging ahead with the beta test, giving them more time to polish the game....

Wondercon 11: Day two cosplay round-up

Wondercon 2011 has surprisingly been good with thecosplayers this year, and that’s not even factoring Yaya Han and VampyBitMe’s marvelous outfits. Of course, like any convention, there are some questionable outfits. The standout being the fat Slave Leia roaming the hall. Lucky for you, no fat Slave Leia’s in our second gallery of cosplayers from Wondercon here. Instead, there are plenty of awesome shots taken byJ Eckert from pixel42 Studios. The best outfit I laid eyes on yesterday?...

Zombie Street Fighter art is as cool as it sounds

To quoteBad Boys II, “sh*t just got real.” Ever wonder what would happen if you combinedStreet Fighterwith zombies? I did, once. I’m fairly sure the World Warriors would kick some zombie ass for days after the outbreak but would eventually become overwhelmed by the massive undead population. Manuhell also thought out this sequence of events. Much to my delight, the end result was something everyone can enjoy: zombifiedStreet Fighterartwork! My favorite of the bunch would have to be Sagat, for sure....

I recentlytook a look at “Pigsy’s Perfect 10,”the upcoming downloadable expansion pack forNinja Theory’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. But would you like to get a closer look at a Pigsy himself, or rather the actor who voices him? His name is Richard Ridings, and he’s the subject of this latest behind-the-scenes video for Ninja Theory’s title. It’s always interesting to see the actors behind the voices, and this clip gets up close with the actor in the studio as he works with Andy Serkis (“Monkey”) and Lindsay Shaw (“Trip”)....
