SouthPeak Interactive made a filling with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on November 19th which revealed that the publisher’s chairman Terry Phillips and CEO Melanie Mroz have both received Wells Notices (a notice sent when the staff of the SEC encourages enforcement action against a company). The action comes as a result of an investigation following an amended quarterly report by SouthPeak, after it was determined by management that there were problems with the books....

Just in time for CES 2011, OnLive has announced its parternship with Vizio to include its cloud gaming service inside of Via Plus HDTVs, tablets, smart phones, and Blu-ray players. The company was quick to point out that as OnLive data centers are upgraded over time, performance increases, and how that makes TVs — devices we tend to hold onto for years — a smart fit. Of course, the flip side of this is something bad happens down the road and your Vizio set now has an unusable app....

Shacknewsrecently talked to Mythic Vice President Mark Jacobs and confirmed that the studio will not be honoring the work of its former employees on Warhammer Online. Not crediting one for his or her work is apparently standard practice. Jacobs’ response to the inquiry seems casual when he mentions the ‘hundreds’ of people that worked on the title that won’t be earning a spot on the credits. Over the years, we’ve had hundreds of people work on the game, and we thank everyone who helped us bring our Warhammer passion to life, but only current employees that have continued until the end will be credited in the final game....

I’ve had a dream: aYogi BearCG film. Dan Aykroyd would voice Yogi Bear, and that the talented pop/R&B artist Justin Timberlake would play Boo-Boo, Yogi’s sidekick. And because Anna Faris is pretty, let’s get her in there, too. Because hearing her isn’t as good as seeing her, but it’s better than nothing, I guess. It would be out this holiday, and you’d be able to also watch it in 3D, because 3D is awesome....
