In bad news originally spotted byShacknews, id Software’s and Raven Software’sWolfensteinhas been sort of delayed. The good news is that it’s only by a few weeks; the game is now officially set to ship the week of August 17. The title was originally set to ship for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC…uh… we don’t quite remember. But needless to say, it was slightly earlier than August 17. Also, Activision will have you know that unlike theSingularity delay, this has nothing to doCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2....

Starring a Dr. Manhattan-looking fellow inside of a punk space suit,Capsizedis physics-based platformer heading to Xbox LIVE Arcade and Steam next year. The studio responsible for the downloadable, Alientrap Software, released a few images and a teaser this morning, revealing its dual-stick shooting (of course) mechanics and interesting flashlight action. Alientrap’s last project wasNexuiz, a freeware FPS. We don’t know much than the fact that mini-Dr. Manhattan is searching for a way off the planet the game’s setting revolves around....

Ten months after the launch of Xbox LIVE’s Rewards program in the US and UK, the ability to earn Microsoft Points for doing stuff on Xbox LIVE is nowup and runningfor Australia. Invitations are now being sent out to Australian Xbox LIVE users offering the program which includes free (albeit small) points and the future promise of “cool prizes” and “VIP offers.” The program also now encompasses Canada, Mexico, France, Germany and New Zealand....

Sega’sYakuzais a bit of a sleeper. The 2006 story-driven brawler recieved praise from the press and many gamers, but others tell me that they’ve never picked it up. If you haven’t yet, and you don’t hate brawlers, do so. It will make you feel like a Japanese gangster. And the unintentionally funny factor is quite high. Sega has released a new trailer to promoteYakuza 2, which will be released on September 9th....

Now that we’re done with Paul W.S. Anderson’s trilogy of Resident Evil films, Capcom has announced that they will be making a “full-length CG animation feature” based on theResident Evilproperty. The new film is set to be calledBiohazard: Degeneration,and Capcom is going to be working with Sony Pictures of Japan’s subsidary SPEJ. So far all theResident Evilfilms have proved successful, grossing over $100 million internationally, and over $150 million in the U....

Well, we all know thatEarthworm Jim 4is being developed — Shiny Entertainment founder David Perry has beendropping hintsabout it since 2007 andInterplayhas been doing its best to stay in the headlines with its “revival.” When series founder Doug TenNapel let it be known that he’d beconsulting Interplay on the project,Earthworm Jim 4was good as announced, except there hasn’t been the slightest hint of an update in over a year. YesterdayGameloft and Interplay announcedthat the Annelid Avenger would be coming to digital download services on the three major systems, with Xbox Live Arcade getting a month of exclusivity....

What? Yes! After months of waiting, Sega has finally revealed the Alien gameplay in Rebellion’sAliens vs. Predator. Xenomorph GET! The new video is absolutely amazing, not least of all because it brings usfirst-person tongue action! That’s right, folks, one of the Alien’s execution kills presents the action from the perspective of the Xenomorph’s secondary jaw, allowing you to see your drooling monster’s mouth slowly open in front of a Marine’s terrified face, before you’re thrust directly into his astonished skull....

We’ve all seen the execution animations for the Predator inAvP. Decapitations and Xenomorph-tongue ripping are the order of the day and it all looks rather fabulous. While chatting with Rebellion’s art boss Tim Jones, I just had to ask if my favorite sci-fi monster, the Aliens, would be getting their own supremely gory murder animations. I was not let down with the answer. “Yep, the Alien gets some pretty gruesome kill-moves — including tail stabs, gouged heads and slit throats — among other things,” he answered....

We’re a bunch of gamers, all we do is sit on our couch and wonder how they dribble that oblong shaped ball down the court and kick it into the goal with their golf club. Following his elaboration onwhy he sold Impulse to GameStopin a recent interview, Stardock’s Brad Wardell slowly moved away from the business mindset of representing a company involved in a major industry deal, and slowly opened up about how Stardock’s renewed freedom will affect its games as well as providing insights into his vision for the future of gaming. Now that Stardock has the chance to once again focus on what its core businesses traditionally were (desktop software and games), it also allows its employees to actually lead normal lives again....

Yet his spirit has come back from the dead to try and solve the case!...

Based on the classic 1989 originalCastlevania: The Adventure, the WiiWare version brings an old game to new light and new players. GameBoy to Wii is a big jump, and series fans are revved up about it. We know it has to be coming soon, as a new site and trailer has been released by Konami. Thenew sitewill give you some screens to look at, but the trailer is where it’s at....
