Film and Television producerJerry Bruckheimerhas entered a multi-year deal to create new game properties with MTV Games. According to MTV news, the titles to come out of this new collaboration will not bring rehashes or spin-offs of any of the current Bruckheimer productions. I had never heard of thisLegend of the Guardiansthing, but the more I look into it, the more it seems likeRedwall. That’s not an accusation or anything. Fantasy and animals and all that stuff is commonplace. That’s just what I think of. Since this game is based on the film based on the books, it’s a lot of flight combat where you control an owl. I have to admit a faint desire to play it, but that’s really just because I desperately want anotherCrimson Skiesgame....

Chunsoft is making it’s grand return to game publishing (didn’t you miss them?) withLove Zombie; a comedy horror game for the DS. You’ll take control of a legion of undead villagers, and lead them from a farm to a nearby town to attack the “bad humans” and “reclaim something” that the zombies had stolen from them. Their humanity, perhaps? Is that too obvious? The game sounds a little likePikmin, but with brain dead purple zombies instead of brain dead purple carrot people....

Famitsu.com let out some details of Marvelous Entertainment’sIkenie no YoruorNight of the Sacrifice. Great name. Also great debut trailer. It’s a winner with the beat-timed steps and the atmosphere. Then a text. Then the freakin’ rad music starts. Then the paper cut out people and chainsaws come up. And I’m nodding. Yes. Yes yes. Yes. A friend was over when I first saw this. I asked him why the face with the holed out eyes and mouth always gets me....

We got a little factsheet card in the mail today titled “Fun Facts About Mass Effect 2”. Surprisingly enough, it states that only 18% of all players chose a female Shepard while 82% played as a male Shepard. It didn’t say whether or not that includes multiple playthroughs. But even if it does, that’s still a very small percentage of people who got to hearJennifer Hale’s(best) version of Commander Shepard. I guess a lot ofMass Effect 2players are male and don’t want to play as a woman....
