To me, nothing exemplifies the game industry’s contempt for real gamers more thanMario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. For the first game officially billed as aMarioandSonicteam up, one could (andshould) have reasonably expected an epic platformer of fanservice-stuffed proportions. Instead, we got an Olympic Games cash-in promotion. What a creative waste. A creative waste it was, but as we’ve learned by now, creativity means diddly sh*t in this industry, not when there’s money to be made....
Death to Spies 3is the latest in the stealth espionage series by developer Haggard Games. The new game is set during the Cold War era and will follow the three spies — Strogov, Viktor and Olga — as they make their way through America, Cuba and Europe. TheDeath to Spiesseries is known for detailed everything is. For instance, some missions will see you needing to wear the enemy’s clothing. you’re able to easily shoot the target, but other NPCs will notice the blood stains on the outfit and know something’s wrong....

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marinehas a title that many may call farcically generic. The space marine has become such an archetypal character that a game of the same name just looks like a joke. Xbox 360 role-playing gamers should be excited to hear that Square Enix is announcing their next fantasy role-playing game for the console, though we don’t expect that gamers will be too enthusiastic about its cringe-worthy title. Nevermind the bad title: this new game comes from the creative minds at tri-Ace (makers ofValkryie Profileand theStar Oceanseries) and RPG vets Square Enix, so it’s probably safe to say that something interesting should come out of this collaboration....

Following the announcement that it would be bringingSwords & Soldiersto PlayStation Network, indie developer Ronimo Games has revealed that it’s coming to PC as well. The PC version of the game will ship with all of the features you’ll find on PSN, including online leaderboards, crisp “HD” graphics, along with a new soundtrack. Additionally, PC owners will get the benefit of Steam Achievements as well as a cursor-based mechanic. Because, you know, PCs use mice....

Capcom perfectly knew what comparisons they were inviting when they brought thatepic ass dragonto their booth. It’s still far too early to say how the game will compare toSkyrim, but the new features, locations and character creator shown at TGS have resparked my interest in the game.Dragon’s Dogmawas presented at E3 with a lack of focus that left me skeptical of the game, but now I’m starting to come around to Japan’s take on the Western open-world RPG....
Wrist straps, USB cables, Travel pouches, cradles, cleaning cloths…I could go on, but I won’t. It’s junk that you don’t really care about, but still need to get wtih your new game system. Sony briefly showed off all of their official Vita accessories today at their press conference in Tokyo, and then quickly pressed forward toward talking about less boring things.
