Why would you hire with experiencing working on the Wii if you weren’t making a Wii game? That’s a good question to ask Rockstar North, who recently posted ajob listinglooking for a Physics Programmer with experience working with Nintendo’s console. As G4 points out, the developer is also looking for a Junior Physics Programmer with experience for all major consoles, including the PlayStation Portable, the Nintendo DS, and mobile platforms. Rockstar most recently releasedGrand Theft Auto: Chinatown Warson the PSP, DS, and the iPhone; perhaps anotherGTA(or another franchise) could be making its way to the portable devices soon....

Section 8, Southpeak’s sci-fi shooter that is blatantly better thanVelvet Assassin, is being pushed back a week. I know you were all looking forward to playing it, as evidenced by the fact that every time I play the demo, nobody else is in the multiplayer, but you’re going to have to learn to deal with it. Terrible, I know. “The game is now being released on September 11, not September 4 due to a small delay in the manufacturing process,” explains a rep for the company, fighting back the tears....

According to MS’ Sean Alexander, companies will be able to run ad campaigns that simultaneously spread across computers, television screens and mobile phones. Basically, we can drown in adverts thanks to Microsoft, while the platform holder sits back and becomes a money magnet. “Silverlight-powered media on Xbox will have the same appearance as ads seen on a web browser,” says Alexander.
