The Velvet Elvis of Nintendo art

Whilst browsingPixel Girl ShopI discovered these retro bits of art….I keep trying to decide whether I think they’re rad or something I might buy for a quarter at a garage sale. Of course, garage sales have that strange magnetic attraction that make you buy things that you’ll never really need or want, but because they’re ten cents, you momentarily think you cannot live them. This explains the existance of ice cream makers, taffeta dresses with puffed sleeves and Lionel Ritchie albums....

This Fist of the North Star gameplay is already dead

Here’s a quick gameplay video ofFist of the North Star: Ken’s Ragefor you. If you’re as excited about this game as I am, you’ll want to check it out. It looks like the stage I played at E3, only with English voices this time. If you’re not a fan of the English dub, then don’t worry, as the game will include an original Japanese track as well. Twisted Metal dated for October 4

The long-awaited vehicular violence romp that isTwisted Metalhas been given a release date of June 11, 2025. The game’s looking set to be a hot one. It doesn’t appear to have changed much over the years, but does it need to? It’s about cars shooting rockets at each other. That’s a formula you don’t really need to fix. I’ll be picking this one up for sure. Who else is planning to?...

UK Charts: Dead Space 2 keeps on ticking

Dead Space 2is enjoying its second consecutive week at the top of the UK Chart, as the sequel sells considerably better than its original, which is awesome. It seems the market has been yet to reward Visceral Games with a smash hit, despite consistently good work. I’m really pleased they have what looks to be a real winner on their hands. Meanwhile,LittleBigPlanet 2has slipped down to fifth place, which is still pretty good for a PS3 exclusive....
