Arkham Asylum has been closed, and the criminal scum have all been rounded up into Arkham City, a super-prison made up of districts that once were part of Gotham City. The new prison is five times the size of Arkham Island and is festering with evil. Developer Rocksteady Studios gave us a first look at the new Batmanadventure yesterday, and boy, does this game look awesome. The demo was sadly hands-off, so I’ll just be describing what I witnessed as Rocksteady showed off the first chapter ofBatman: Arkham City....

Watermelon!is a game that brings the life the fantasy we’ve always had — using melon flesh to trip up vaguely designed opponents. This cute and silly game involves a little creature who moves left and right with your iPhone’s tilt interface, and throws eaten watermelons at his enemies with a tap of the screen. The motion from left to right could do with feeling a little less stiff, but otherwise it’s a fun enough distraction that’s worth the price of free....

Rockstar and Timbaland’s portable music creation gameBeateratorhas become downloadable for iPhone as of today. What’s interesting here is the significant drop in price from the PlayStation Portable version: on iPhone, it’s only $4.99. With phrases like “completely redesigned interface” being used to describe this touch-centric version ofBeaterator, you have to wonder how much content was cut during the translation to a new platform. Or maybe, it’s all still in there, and Rockstar wanted to offer consumers a competitively-priced, feature-packed iPhone game....

I’m pretty excited to get some hands-on time with Atari’s upcomingGhostbusters: Sanctum of Slime. Developed by the folks behind Assault Heroes, it’s a four-player cooperative downloadable title that can be played online or off. And you’re the Ghostbusters! Well, I don’t know abouttheGhostbusters. You’re definitelysomeGhostbusters, though. Just not the ones you’d expect. Turns out you’re just inexperienced rookies, characters designed specifically for the game.
