SeeingMarvel Super Hero Squadfor the first time on TV was a big shocker. The last thing you think about when you hear the Marvel name is kiddy versions of the super heroes you know and love. While I still have a hard time swallowing the idea, I can accept this for what it is: A fun alternative for kids that are too young for the dark tales of the Marvel universe....

NowAndriaSangbrings us more details and some screens of this quirky little game. Seven girls that represent a sin are trapped in the Tower of Hell. The tower stands between life and death and it’s your job to get these girls to the top of the tower in order to be forgiven of their sins and brought back to life....
Now, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking “ZOMG THIS IS A BLATANT RIP-OFF OFTEAM FORTRESS 2! PLAGIARISM!” I don’t blame you, either. The over-the-top multiplayer combat, the class system, the art style, and even the sense of humor all seem taken right from Valve’s popular shooter. I can’t even justify it. The “inspiration” is clear as day. You know what though? It doesn’t matter. The game looks like mad fun and seems like it’ll be a perfect addition to Xbox Live’s “Summer of Arcade” season....

The BAFTA Video Game awards ceremony took place in the United Kingdom tonight where Shigeru Miyamoto was in attendance and gave the Official UK Nintendo Magazine a status update on the highly anticipated third entry. Atlus has announced that they will be publishingMy World, My Wayfor the DS. If you can’t tell by the above trailer, it’s an RPG which is obviously being marketed towards girls. Without getting into the whole, “girls play the same games guys do” argument, I think that’s totally cool that they’re bringing out something that’s aimed at the demographic without it being aPetzorBarbietitle. What’s grating my nerves about all of this is the content of the game....
I really dig the “It Only Does…” PlayStation 3 commercials. Sony had some duds before this campaign, but this series has been pretty funny. And they actually show game footage, which is…you know, nice. Maybe I’m a bit biased, asDestructoid was in one of the commercials. The latest commercial in the series is for their upcoming 256-player online first-person shooter,MAG. I haven’t played much of it yet, but I’m looking forward to doing so....
Yes, it’s been almost two years to the day thatMuramasa: The Demon Bladewas released on the Wii. Despite the game’s lackluster sales numbers, it’s apparently still on the minds of the audio team atBasiscapewho were responsible for the game’s impressive Japanese-flavored soundtrack. The studio, headed by Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII,Valkyria Chronicles) will be arranging several pieces from the game, and as an added bonus, a live recording from the Press Start 2010 orchestral game music concert in Japan will also be included....
Not too much out this week, but that makes sense since there were two major titles released just last week. Easily the biggest game of this week is Steven Spielberg’sBoom Bloxfor the Nintendo Wii. From everything I’ve heard, the game is a ton of fun and very addictive. Can’t wait to try it out.Other than that,R-Type Commandis calling out to me. What’s looking sw33t to you?
