They say a dog is for life, not just for Christmas, but when Kathy White got a Wii for the Holidays, one dog’s life waspretty much over… at least temporarily. White, the owner of a five-month-old Sheltie puppy, was playing with her new Wii when she accidentally whacked her dog Ozzy in the temple with a Wiimote like a clumsy fool, killing him instantly. “We had just got the Wii for Christmas,” explained Kathy, “so we were trying it out, and that’s when Alexis and I were bowling and Ozzy was standing by me and he jumped up and I hit him in the temple and killed him instantly....

When I first heard the segment’s name, I immediately imagined I would be fighting some kind of dragon or chimera, armed with only an ice halberd and my limited knowledge of black magic. After asking if Firaga was allowed to be cast in the studio, the very patient producers informed me that the segment had nothing to do with me battling a mythical beast....

Don’t worry your pretty little head — you can still swap out or upgrade your hard drive on the upcoming PS3 Slim. Some of you expressed concern that the upgrade and new form factor would prevent you from swapping out the factory drive for another. Seriously, Twitter lit up. I couldn’t see this being a bigger concern than the whole lack of backwards PS2 compatibility, but I guess it was for some....

That’s some impressive stuff right there. It’s a set of custom toys based, clearly, onDonkey Kong. We’ve got the big ape, Mario and Pauline all representing there and the toys have some great touches to them. I was particularly impressed with the inclusion of a tear in Pauline’s dress. Well played, figure cutter! The set of customs is currently for sale on eBay. It comes with, as the ads of my youth would say, everything you see here....
