To this very day I’m still pissed that no one believed me when I said thatCall of Duty: World at Warhas zombies in it. As the story goes, I saw something I shouldn’t have at an Activision event before the game launched, told all my journo friends, and they all laughed at me. And then the news dropped. And I got no props when it was revealed. And here I am telling you about a second batch of maps for the game, which includes a new zombie map, Shi No Numa....

Remember when Capcom used to make RPGs? We do, and that’s why we’re really rather interested to hear that the Japanese publisher is teaming up with Imageepoch to create abrand new roleplaying gamecentered around a fighting tournament. Players take on the role of Zig, an angry drifter who takes part in a fighting tournament to become a “ranker.” Ranker battles act how one would expect — as you accrue victories, your rank rises, and after each loss, it decreases....

Crytek wants you to know that it’s nothing personal, and that you’re able to “probably hope” for a demo before the game’s release next month. “We want as many people to playCrysis 2as possible,” said executive producer Nathan Camarillo. “I can’t say anything too specific … we haven’t announced [the demo] yet.” Camarillo also promised that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game would be identical, because insecure gamers need their little minds at ease: “People can try to find them (disparities), but they won’t find anything....

What once was achievable only on the most high end PCs iscoming to lowly consoleson October 4. Crytek’sCrysishas been given a firm release date, available to download for the humble sum of $20. This new iteration will be “modified and enhanced” from the original computer version, which I can only hope means that they’ve removed all helicopters from the game entirely, because screw every single helicopter that was in that game....

Mmm,Demon’s Souls. The upcoming PS3-exclusive action role-playing hardcore dungeon crawling hotness is coming our way on October 6th, thanks to Atlus. One of the coolest aspects of this game is the online capabilities, which permits both cooperative and competitive (PvP) gameplay. We’ve been dying to know more about this.
