Atlus is teasing us with yellow color, black text

The above text and a lot more of somereallybright yellow is all you’ll see atthis new Atlus teaser site. Given the stylish angle, font, and use of the letter “p”, I’d put money down that it’s in some way related toPersona 4. But what could it be? There’s already aPersona 4TV anime series coming out this fall. If I were to conjecture, it’d be an announcement of a PSP (or perhaps PS Vita) port of the PlayStation 2 classic....

Auditorium headed to XBLA, PSN, and PSP Minis

Cipher Prime’sAuditoriumis a relatively simple, very self-explanatory game that’s presented brilliantly. Rather than listen to me elaborate further, you canhear Samitdiscuss it or eventry a demo, for that matter. Oddly enough,GamerBytes reportsthatAuditoriumis making it beyond the realm of PC exclusivity and onto Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and even PSP Minis sometime next year. Not to discredit the game, but it doesn’t seem like the sort of thing those services tend to offer usually....

Behind the scenes of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

EA has released some new information, screenshots and a making-of video (mysteriously titled, “Part 1”) for their upcoming videogame adaptation ofHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Of particular note is the knowledge that players are, “free to explore every inch of the castle and its grounds.” I’m not entirely sure what that even means in the context of an ever-changing, practically living structure, but EA says you’ll be able to explore all of it and you’ll do so in an open-world capacity....

Bigpoint to big publishers: You’re doing it wrong

In an interview with Edge, Bigpoint boss, Philip Reisberger, had some less than flattering things to say about big publishers’ approaches to f2p and premium content. I do love a good bit of smack talk. Reisberger thinks that EA, Valve, Ubisoft and their like are wrong to offer premium virtual goods when the items don’t give the players an advantage. It wouldn’t ruin the game. If selling an advantage ruins the game, you haven’t done the balancing right… It’s a delicate balance, though, and that’s why I love my game designers....

BioShock 2’s updated DRM specs are slightly less annoying

Last week, a good portion of the Internet flipped the eff out upon hearing theDRM specificationsfor the digital versions ofBioShock 2, and rightfully so. Games for Windows LIVE and SecuROM attached to a single game is not a pleasant sight for many a PC gamer. Thankfully, what you heard about the DRM is likely no longer the case; 2K has scaled back the protection against piracy. LeadingBioShockexpert Elizabeth fromThe Cult of Raptureinforms us that “SecuROM will be used only to verify the game’s executable and check the date....

BioShock 3? Rapture ‘fertile’ enough for many more games

You better believe that theBioShock“brand” is here to stay. The sequel to 2007’scritically acclaimed gameis not even out yet, but that hasn’t stopped2K Marin‘s creative director Jordan Thomas talking about games beyond the next chapter, possibly set in Rapture, possiblyset beyond. “I think Rapture remains fertile for as much expansion as a team sees in it,”he states.“I absolutely believe that there might be future games set in Rapture in whatever time period, but I would also say that I think that theBioshockbrand is big enough that it could evolve....

GamesIndustry.biz hasan article upwith snippets from an interview they conducted with Blizzard developer Itzik Ben Bassat regarding consoles, and more specifically, Blizzard’s feelings towards them.
