Anthony and I were in the Sony booth mostly to check outGhostbusters, but there was quite a line for it. Before we committed to making our way through it, we popped over to the side to try out the second episodicRatchet and Clank Futuretitle,A Crack in Time. After we finished the demo, we did go to theGhostbustersline, only to duck out at the last moment after restarting the game and getting a long, unskippable intro cutscene, much to the chagrin of everyone in line behind us....

One of the bigger surprises of E3 for me — and a lot of people, actually — was Q Entertainment’sChild of Eden. For those of us able to catch Microsoft’s press conference, followed by Ubisoft’s, one thing became clear: the former should have heavily showcased the game, much like the latter did. Ubisoft’s show opened with a bang: designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi set the mood by playingChild of Edenusing Kinect, with no added frills or conference goofiness, and it was incredible....
Tiny people and young children rejoice! Your Wii Remote and nunchuck worries are finally over. If you’ve known anyone with small hands you know their struggle to overcome Wiimotus Tobigus and its often related condition Nunchukus Cantcontrolus. Thankfully, Power A is here with smaller Wii Remotes and nunchucks for all these terribly afflicted people. The two new miniature controllers come together in the Pro Pack Mini and are 35 percent smaller than the original Wii Remote and nunchuck....
At first glance, the new peripherals that will ship alongsideRock Band 2don’t look particularly remarkable. The guitar’s a new, sexy color, and some slight aesthetic tweaks have been made to the drums. So what’s the big deal? As Harmonix puts it, it’s all about “innovation” and “perfection.” And while one could argue that when it comes to the core peripherals forRock Band 2they’re soft on innovation, they’re certainly making some nice steps towards perfection....
It seems as if only PlayStation 3 gamers are getting the high-definitionSilent Hillcollection, even though Konami’s similar HD bundles forMetal Gear SolidandZone of the Enders are headed to both PS3 and Xbox 360. How curious. We did get a rough release window for this package, though: fall 2011. GameSpot has also gotten a few details onSilent Hill: Book of Memories, a PlayStation Vita title. iPhone gameMechanic Panicis free from July 20th to July 22nd, and you should grab it as soon as possible. I’ve mentioned the game and its last major update in some of the Weekend Mobile roundups before, and it’s a hugely entertaining little game that was only made better by the updates. InMechanic Panic, you tap to jump a mechanic from wall to wall up an elevator shaft. On the way up, you get bonus points for grabbing and saving falling employees in mid-air while evading falling debris....
