Odd Societyis an indie title that flew under our radar. Developed by Odd 1 Incorporated, it’s a simplistic point-and-click title created by a team of 20 or so passionate people. It launched at Gen Con ’09 and was playable on the show floor. I stopped for about forty-five minutes, talked with a few team members, and played a chunk of the game. Think of a city-builder and shed all of its complexity....
Thestream of charactersbeing announced for Sega’s upcomingAnarchy Reignshas been fairly heavy of late, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down. This next entrant, Oinkie, seems to be Sega’s take on DC’s Bane; a humorous, over-the-top take. Oinkie relies on his weapon, The Juice, to give him the edge in his more beastly form, but he also appears to have learnedRolloutat some point. Once again, they’ve managed to make this game more bat-shit crazy....

It’s not like Fraggle Rock. Battle Rock Nemesis is available for $5.00/£3.99/€3.99 on the PSN, and costs 400 MS Points on Xbox Live. Nothing’s been announced for PC yet, but Codemasters will be releasing DLC for home computers at some point....
In the wake offresh rumors concerning an HD Nintendo console, industry analyst Michael “balls of oatmeal” Pachter has complained that Nintendo has lost customers due to the lateness of such a console, but that it still has a chance to stay on top. “I think the right time for the console was in front of Kinect and Move, and think that Nintendo has forever lost one customer for each Kinect and Move unit sold,” he said....
Microsoft has today confirmedearlier reportsthat the Xbox 360 is getting a USB storage solution. Major Nelson announced that on April 6, a new update will be available for the 360, allowing users to store their games and content on flash drives, rather than the stupid memory cards that nobody ever used because they were stupid. As reported, you can only save up to 16BG of information, making this new update practically useless for anybody who has a lot of content....
MTV’s multiplayer blog heldan interviewwith Nintendo’s Perrin Kaplan recently and it was the most unintentionally funny thing I’ve seen in weeks. Reading the entire piece you get the feeling that Perrin was releasing a deluge of PR double talk, and the interviewer, while trying to steer the conversation into factual territory, were being forced to play the role of baby birds ingesting so much regurgitated pabulum from a woman who has apparently grown quite talented at this sort of thing....

By now, it’s safe to call the long-rumored PlayStation Phone one of the worst-kept secrets in the history of the tech/gaming world. Engadget posted photos of the Android-powered devicethree months ago, and since then, we’ve seenvideo of the phoneto further confirm its existence. It’s reportedly called the “Xperia Play,” and Engadget has now published a comprehensive preview based on a prototype that has been “floating around in China.” The Xperia Play is equipped with a 4-inch, 854×480-pixel LCD screen, and under the hood, it contains a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM....
Horror/thriller game fans, it’s been a long wait.
