Tomb Raider: Underworld videos bring the wetsuits and the Mexico

For some reason, theTomb Raiderseries is something I have never gotten into, and I have no idea why. It’s not like there’s anything about the games that lookbadto me, I just failed to ever want to get involved. WithTomb Raider: UnderworldI think I’m going to change all that and finally take one of the titles out for a spin. This is probably the best news Eidos has ever heard, so let’s celebrate the good tidings with someUnderworldvideos....

Trauma Team priced at $39.99

Dude, $59.99 still kills me. Even when it’s a game I really want, I still make that inhaling through the teeth sound when buying a game these days. Luckily Atlus’ price on their upcoming medical Wii game is less traumatizing. DO YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE? Trauma Teamwill only be $39.99. Insert medical joke about…anti-inflammatory use. I don’t know. I got nothin’. They could have gone $60, which would have worked out to be about $10 for each of the six fields of medicine in the game....

Two screenshots for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Drip-feeding screenshots appears to have become a habit of publishers recently. With that in mind, help yourself to a whole two pictures fromModern Warfare 3. There’s a guy in a wetsuit in one screen, and screen of an epic naval battle in the other. I wish I could say more, but when you’ve got a “gallery” consisting of two things, what more can be said? Modern Warfare 3is out July 09, 2025....

Used Grand Theft Auto comes with free ecstasy tablets

A British man was stunned after buying two second handGrand Theft Autogames and discovering somefree ecstasy tabletswrapped in plastic and slotted into the one of the game’s manuals. For some reason, 34-year-old Richard Thornhill was not pleased with his gift, instead whining about “consequences” or something, whateverthoseare. “When I opened the box up, the cling film wrap fell out,” he said, as Pete Doherty wishes he came up with the same excuse....

Valkyria Chronicles III is a PSP game, coming January 27

I’ve read that more than a few of you hoping that the upcoming sequel toValkyria Chronicles II, aptly namedValkyria Chronicles III, would be a game bound for current-generation home consoles, rather than a handheld game. I myself have expressed such sentiment from time to time. Unfortunately for you and for everyone who doesn’t own a PlayStation Portable,Valkyria Chronicles IIIis a PlayStation Portable game. Sorry, guys. It’s out in Japan on January 27th (both on UMD and PlayStation Network), so they won’t have to wait too long, at least....

Video, screens and semi-hands-on on Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii/DS)

A new trailer, as well as plenty of screenshots for both theDSand Wii version, have all just come out. I was really looking forward to playing this game and I finally did have a chance last week on the Wii. Unfortunately, I walked away extremely disappointed.I didn’t play too many of the events to give a proper hands-on report, but what I did play just left a bad taste in my mouth....

Video: Keyboards in RB3, ‘Push It’ in Dance Central

Originally, you were just going to get this keyboard-themedRock Band 3trailer, but then Nick got all on my case because a trailer forDance Centralwas included in the same email. It was too warm outside for me to put up much of a fight, so I caved. If you’re intopushing it hardcore, find the video below. Personally, I’d rather give money to Harmonix for the privilege of having sweet-looking instruments take over my living space versus giving them money for permission to dance about like a fool....

Warranty woes: Microsoft feels the pain

When Peter Moore announced a new three year warranty for all Xbox 360s affected by the notorious red rings of death, Microsoft was applauded for its up front, honest and somewhat humble approach. While fans rejoiced (somewhat), the head honchos at Microsoft were slightly less pleased with the way things were going. Take for example, Microsoft’s CEO, Steve Ballmer, who apparently felt the sting of the decision. “We have to learn from our mistakes....

When being a gamer is not a good thing: check out this kid’s Final Fantasy name

Wow. I mean … wow. Please, if you will, imagine Sephiroth Andrew Martin in third grade, at which point it is highly unlikely that he will be a badass anywhere near worthy of his name. Imagine other kids asking “What’s your name?” And then, imagine a skinny, pimply, awkward seven year old kid replying “Sephiroth.” I’m all for gamer references when it comes to your loved ones (it’s quite funny to name your fish Sephiroth, for example), but naming your kid after one of the most memorable game villains of all time is just downright wrong....
