We’re still making decent progress inZack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure, though it has slowed a bit. The puzzles are becoming quite lengthy and my carelessness has led to more than a couple of easily avoidable deaths. But we’re still completing them and I still feel a bit clever whenever finishing a stage, which has to count for something. TikiGames has announced (viaPlayStation Blog) that it will be bringingMahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdomto PlayStation Network next January for $9.99. The game will feature three modes, including the Ancient Wisdom mode, which looks to help you get your learn on — completing a layout will reveal a piece of an old Chinese story. There will be five classics to reveal: “The Fox,” “Tiger Shoes,” “The Magic Paintbrush,” “The Man Who Moved Mountains,” and “Li Chi....

The big blemish — as most rational critics pointed out — onAssassin’s Creedwasits repetitious mission structure. After the second hour or so the integration of new story and side missions stopped, causing many players to die of boredom while mindlessly plowing through the game’s three tasks: eavesdropping, intimidating, and assassinating. Some call this flawed design, others brilliance. Either way it doesn’t matter: Ubisoft has promised more withAssassin’s Creed II. A free ‘After Party’ update that hits PSN tomorrow forMotorStorm Apocalypse.It will include a new day-and-night track called The Rock, set near an abandoned prison on the bay. Also expect Special Event Packs, Weekly Challenges for prize chips, and the re-tuning of several vehicles. Evolution Studios says that you’ll notice the tweaks for the Supercar, Dirt Bike and Superbike classes for sure. The Racing Truck, Muscle Car and ATV types have also been tweaked....

MMO company NCsoft have just joined the Steam club, with some of their hottest franchises now available on the PC online platform. Big name MMO games likeCity of Heroes, Lineage, andGuild Warsare now available via Steam, Valve’s kick-ass online game distribution hotness. All of the titles are available today, including City of Heroes Architect Edition, which was just recently released. And while it’s not ready to go yet,Aion, their upcoming MMO, will be available on Steam this fall....

WhenBioShock Infinitefinally comes out next year, you’ll be using the Sky-Hook a lot to get around the city in the clouds, Columbia. What’s that? You want a life-sized model of one to get to and from work? Well, it’s not functional (unless you’ve got Sky-Lines running through your town), but Irrational Games has teamed up with NECA to release models of the devices. They’re not in production just yet, but last week the studio held a contest where they gave one away to a lucky fan....

We last reported onCargasmway back inSeptember, and since then, the game still hasn’t come out. What have they been doing with all that development time? Perhaps working on the San Francisco level you can see in the trailer above? Cargasmsupposedly features levels recreated from real-life locations with laser precision, making for incredibly accurate, photo-realistic landscapes. But…I’m just not seeing that “photo-realism” bit. That, and I’m sure San Francisco is more populated than the trailer makes it out to be....

I am a bonafide horror game snob, I tell you, but I have a good feeling about this one. CouldOkamidenbe the world’s cutest DS game? All signs point to yes, with Chibiterasu being so insanely adorable that I reckon even Osama Bin Laden would get all cuddly and start respecting women. The game’s looking hot and here’s a new trailer to prove it. Check out the video and prepare to get all snorgly. This game is very lovely.
