An onlinePrince of Persiacomic, drawn by the good folks over at Penny Arcade, has gone live today. The Web-based, 32-page comic book will be updated with new pages daily, leading up to the game’s December 2 release. At it stands now, there’s not much there but the cover and a single page of story. Active Life Extreme Challenge is another sports compilation game for the Wii. Unlike most other sports collection games though, Active Life comes packed with aDDRstyle mat and requires players to use the mat and Wiimote together to play the games. The games will vary in requirement based on what the player needs to do, from sitting on the mat, using their hands on the mat, standing on the mat while holding the Wiimote and so on....
Last week, we attended an Activision event to check out some new games, and it was there that we met up with the folks from Bizarre Creations, just in from the UK. They were in attendance looking to show offBlur‘s local multiplayer action. Bizarre’s Ami Langton had a private suite set up in a Seattle hotel to give us a look at the four-player split screen multiplayer mode of their upcoming racer, so I grabbed our own Nick Chester and Colette Bennett to join in the fun....

We’ve waited roughly eight thousand years for more news on the fabledPikmin 3, but if a retailer’s mysterious listing is to be believed, we may be getting a different flavor of miniature mayhem, with a 3DS version of the critically beloved game. Online UK retailer The Hutlists Pikmin 3DS for an already reduced price of £34.93. Whether this is an all-new game or a remake remains to be seen. Hell, we don’t even know if this actually exists, so maybe we shouldn’t be speculating as to the form it’ll take just yet....

Well, it’s about damned time. Harmonix and MTV Games have launched the Rock Band music store forRock Band 2Wii. Finally. Wii wannabe rockers can pick download 50 tracks, including the 20 free bonus tracks. The remaining 30 songs are only a portion of the hundreds of tracks already available to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users, but it’s a start. Yes, there are plans for the Wii music store to match that of what is available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 … it just won’t happen overnight....

Ifrumors are to be believed, Microsoft has become quick to forget such things, as the platform holder is planning to “dramatically reduce” the amount of indie games to hit the service. The gossip stems from the idea that Microsoft is worried about too much software cluttering up XBLA, and it’s being reported that a number of major publishers have put pressure on MS to reduce the amount of competition for their own games, shutting out indie devs so that stuff likeBliss Islandhas a better chance to flourish....
