I used to love Boba Fett. I’m not really that big a fan ofStar Wars(they’re slightly above average sci-fi fairy tales) but I did love the bounty hunter characters, and Boba Fett was every kid’s favorite. Then George Lucas got his shit-stained talons on the character and, like everything else he touches, he utterly ruined it. Now I don’t like Boba Fett anymore. Remember theCastlevaniamovie that Paul W.S. Anderson was working on? Well, it looks like that terrifying prospect may never come to pass. The project appears to have officially been consigned to the depths of development Hell,with reportsthat the film just isn’t taking off. Anderson’sdeparture from the projectsignaled the death-knell, but Sylvain White stepped in to direct. However, the film was last seen being passed along to prospectivenewdirectors. Very much like Dracula himself, this movie’s been dead on its feet for quite some time....

cdv Software Entertainment and dtp entertainment have announced that its action-RPG,Divinity II: Eco Draconis, has gone gold. The title will hit North American retailers on July 24, 2025 for both PC and Xbox 360. The game is the sequel proper to 2002’sDivine Divinity, and puts players in “the role of a young Dragon Slayer, a hero with the ability to transform into a dragon, and take to the skies to fight against an onslaught of deadly creatures....

Unreal Tournament 3is set to come out next week for the Xbox 360 and it looks likeNick Chestertotallycalled it. The exclusiveGears of War 2video coming withUnreal 3got put on to the Internet before the games release. Bedlam Games’ downloadable action RPGDungeons & Dragons: Daggerdalewasannounced late last year, but in case you missed it: it’s a co-op D&D dungeon crawler based on the 4th Edition ruleset. To make it as authentic as possible, Bedlam worked closely with Wizards of the Coast to verify it will please as many D&D fans as possible. Aninterviewat Eurogamer showed some new bits, like two player co-op “on one couch,” and four player co-op available online....

We’ve been keeping close tabs onDJ Heroaround these Destructoid parts since it was announced, but of all the news I’ve heard, this is by far the most relevant to my personal interests. According toRolling Stone, the newest musicians to contribute are my electronic heroes Daft Punk, marking their first apperance of any kind on a videogame.
