Having patiently waited after the release of the PC patch, the console version ofFallout: New Vegashas finally received what’s sure to be the first of several updates aimed at getting the poor game into a less glitchy condition. According to Bethesda, over 200 quest and script issues have been resolved with the patch. While it supposedly fixed quite a few things, users are still reporting severe issues, with some even accusing the patch itself of breaking their games....

InDistant Assassin Reload: Sniper Trainer, you have to pick out specific targets from a crowd of people, shooting the correct one based on a random combination of head-type, shirt color and pants color. It’s been called a cross between a sniper trainer andWhere’s Waldo?, and I kind of like that. Unlike other sniper games, it doesn’t rely on tilt controls, mostly because you need to be quite precise....

Here in the PlayStation Blog Lounge at GDC 2009, we got a first hand look at the upcomingResistance 2DLC coming your way tomorrow. The main attraction is new competitive multiplayer maps in something called the Aftermath Map Pack, priced at $5.99. In it you’ll get three new battlefields, with one set in Orick and the other two in Twin Falls. All of them feature 20-player deathmatch and team deathmatch action, and Orick also has 20-player Core Control....
Gears of War 2creatorCliff Bleszinski is nearly finished with the Xbox 360 sequel, confidently claiming that the game is almost 90% done and is just in need of the final polish. The charismatic developer also addressed the notoriously bleak color scheme of the originalGears of War, promising that there will be more than a mixture of grays to feast our eyes on this time around. “I boot the game up every morning and go through campaign mode, making sure it’s all stitched together and batsh*t insane,” revealed Clifford, before talking about the colors....

Sony has announced thatGran Turismo 5 Prologue, the prequel title to “next year’s”Gran Turismo 5, will be coming to the PlayStation 3 later this year. Available on both Blu-ray disc and as a download over the PlayStation Network, no price has been announced, but the game will obviously not be free as some had previously reported. Prologue features more than 40 cars, refined driving physics, full 1080p support, and an online mode for up to 16 players....
Yeah, that’s right, forget all that microtransaction nonsense we laughed about a few months ago, Sony has now decided that their flagship driving titleGran Turismo HDwill be free of charge for gamers hooked up to the PlayStation Store. I know, weird to hear good news from Sony, huh? Right now, it looks as if this has only been announced for Japan, but surely U.S. fans won’t be left in the dark....
When the trailer forGRIDwas released, some of us immediately became excited over what appeared to be aGran Turismo-like game, withBurnoutinfluences. Much like Codemaster’s hit gameDiRTbefore it,GRIDshows that the guys know a thing or two about hitting us with that much-needed eye candy that we’ve come to associate with racing games. Seeing those highly detailed cars flipping over and spinning out left me feeling all giddy inside. Racing is all about winning, but it has always been the crashes that drew the most excitement (in games, anyway)....
