You know, it’s kind of like The Pirate Bay but you actually pay for physical copies of things there, and the clerks talk shit about your purchase choices behind your back....

SCEA has made the 37-page booklet available online (download the PDFhere), and it reveals some details on the game. First off, there’s the game’s control scheme. Technically, I was already aware of this, since I played the game at PAX, but the woman who was demoing the game only told us the basics so we could make it through the level....

It was onlya matter of time. Following Sony’sworldwide recallofLittleBigPlanet, opportunistic eBay dealershave started sellingthe soon-to-be-replaced discs for over $150. The recalled discs feature a backing track which contains lines from the Qur’an. Not wanting to anger Allah, Sony has chosen to replace all copies of the game, pushing the release date back. Those who spy a future collector’s item — or are just desperate to start playingLBP— are bidding like crazy, while quite a few copies are showing up for sale....

XSEED is busy prepping their upcoming PSP game,Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, for release early next year. They send along news of a Limited Edition version of the game, which will include several goodies that are sure to please long time Lunar series fans. I’m one of those fans. You’ll want to get out and pre-order this limited edition, which will includea soundtrack CD and a set of 13 exclusive “bromide” collector cards highlighting the girls ofLunar....

A recent ESRB listing confirms thatManhunt 2is coming to the PC, but it may not be a pretty port. According to the listing,Manhunt 2PC is an AO-rated title, which means that it has content not fit for minors … or retail. In North American brick and mortar terms, this rating is the touch of death. It cannot be sold in stores. Confronted with this problem before with the Wii release in 2007, Rockstar resubmitted a gimped version to escape the rating....

EVO 2010just got better with the announcement thatMarvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worldswill be playable at the show. This will be the first public demo of the game and producer Ryota Niitsuma will even be around to show off the new fighter. In more EVO news, Mad Catz’sStreet Fighter IVArcade FightStick Tournament Edition will be the official controller of the EVO 2010 World Finals. Trenchedis one of my favorite Xbox Live Arcade titles from recent months, but our good friends in Europe have been anxiouslyawaiting wordon when the alternate-history fusion of mech combat and tower defense would hit their shores following atrademark disputewith board game designer Rui Alípio Monteiro. Microsoft has apparently chosen to back away from the conflict and announced today at gamescom that the game will be released as “Iron Brigade” in Europe....

It had existed as a rumor for a while, but the news of Xbox 360 Arcades shipping with 265MB of internal storage has nowbeen confirmedby Microsoft. Arcade units will no longer need external memory cards, coming packed with the tools needed to save a couple of games and remind you that you need a hard drive. “We are constantly updating the console’s more than 1700 internal components,” confirmed an MS rep....

Last week, we talked about how some professional guessers (aka analysts) predicted that Microsoft would respond to the PS3 Slim byreleasing its own slim Xbox 360. However, Microsoft minister of propaganda Aaron Greenberghas stated that thecurrent model is fine, and that a leaner system won’t be coming anytime soon. “We feel great about our console,” claims the outgoing executive. “We have taken a different philosophy, adding more value to our existing console through updates and reinventing the system software....

The age of connectivity is surely upon us, and Microsoft wants a slice of the action, The company is planning a “universal” gaming platform that could be a big OnLive rival. The Xbox Live-fueled service is scheduled for 2012. The plan is to have all of Microsoft’s products, including Windows Phone 7 and Windows 8 OS, able to deliver Xbox 360 games, with the idea that you can start a game on your 360 and continue it on your phone or computer....

It has been ten years in the making, but that doesn’t make the milestone any less spectacular to Sony and prized developer Polyphony Digital, as both proudly announced that theGran Turismogames as a whole have shipped more than 50 million units worldwide. It has to be mentioned that this number includesGT 5 Prologue, which accounted for a respectable 2 million or so units shipped/downloaded on its own. Speaking ofPrologue, I’m curious as to how many of our readers decided to bite the bullet and pick up theenhanced demogame for themselves — in lieu of waiting for the full-fledged version ofGT 5....

I don’t know what’s spurred all of these awesome fan-made, game-related videos to come out in recent times, but it’s a trend I can seriously get behind.
