Waggle is constantly evolving, Miyamoto says

One of the questions that pops up on a regular basis in my head when I’m sitting around popping up questions in my head (usually Tuesdays and bank holidays) is why Wii MotionPlus is only an optional add-on instead of a new Wii Remote with the technology built in. Maybe that’s coming eventually, but for nowthe reasoningis that Motion Plus is simply a peripheral evolution for the Wii Remote, and not a new Wii Remote....

We don’t go to Katmai: New Cabela’s Survival trailer

No, I don’t have any sincere expectations forCabela’s Survival: Shadows of Katmai, but I do have a minor obsession with the game after seeingits box art. These new screenshots and trailer are more or less in line with what you wouldexpect this to be: a hint of survival, some fairly realistic action … all of nature’s Alaskan branch hell bent on killing the protagonist — you know, the usual.Shadows of Katmaidoes make use of the Top Shot Elite gun peripheral, after all....

So I’ve been sitting here with headphones on,this creepy countdown Web siteplaying noises in my web browser, and it’s making me uncomfortable. 3D Realms CEO not a big fan of Max Payne movie

Watching theMax Paynemovie is a lot like pulling teeth for anyone familiar with the game. Today, 3D Realms CEO Scott Miller joined the chorus critical of the movie. Miller is a bit more of a prolific voice in the matter, considering he produced theMax Paynegames. In an interview withEdge, Miller said that were “several fundamental story flaws” that had him “shaking [his] head in bewilderment.” Miller had more to say about the manner in which the writers of the movie steered away from the videogame’s storyline, namely Payne’s motivation for killing people....
