Are you excited yet? No? Not so much?While the teaser may not be very revealing (or original), THQ has nonetheless announced that it will be releasing the sequel to Atari’sStuntman, entitledStuntman: Ignition, this summer for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.The originalStuntmanwas a pretty frustrating game (with horrendous load times), but offered something new to the almost-stale racing genre by asking players to participate in different stunt driving sequences from various fictional movies....

As it’s title would imply,Ghost Recon Future Soldierhas been pretty stealthy about it’s marketing thus far. So stealthy in fact, I kind of forgot it was coming. However, today’s Multiplayer Walkthrough Trailer was a pretty good reminder. Creative Director Tommy Jacob walks us through just a few features of the upcoming shooter focusing on the game’s three pillars: combat, intel, and teamwork. From the gameplay shown, it seems all three of those are fully realized and that really has me excited....

While other next-generation fighters are shooting forsexy, busty new character designs, it looks like the team behindTekkenis shooting for the chubby chaser crowd. Namco Bandai’sother fightermay have just added a bit more “up top” as well as a touch more junk in the trunk on characters likeIvyand Taki, but inTekken 6they piled all the pounds on one new character, brilliantly named Bob. If you’re one of those gamers that always picks the cool-looking character, well… let’s just say that you’ll never use Bob....

Resident Evil Video games are a unique form of entertainment, but they tend to draw inspiration from many different sources. One common source (especially concerning modern games) is film. The gaming genre in particular that practically pulls all of its traits from the movie industry is survival horror. From the stylized cinematography and moody atmosphere to the garish acting, a huge range of survival horror games obviously takes cues from the best (and worst) Hollywood has to offer....

The videogames industry is a broad and unique one, made up of an incredible amount of unique developers and specalist publishers. Each company within this business brings something new to the table, and you can often recognize a particular one by the content it puts out. What would happen, then, if the games industry pulled the ol’ switcheroo and IP was traded around like cards on a playground? What if Square Enix got its hands on theGears of Warfranchise, for example?...

I know, I know —The Sims 3 Hidden Springssounds like a parody of itself. It’s real, and players can download it fromThe Sims 3 Storeusing SimPoints this SimMonth. This new world will be available starting on August 25 for the PC and Mac versions of the game. The bulk of this content involves relaxing places like spas, a ski lodge, and the Museum of Magic and Supernatural. Uh, right. There’s apparently a mystery to the healing properties of Hidden Springs as well....

They are apartof the main game and sometimes even make the main game more fun, but in the end are forgotten about and never stand out as the star. But why is this? Admittedly, some are forgettable diversions, but others are either woven so perfectly into the main game or stand out as exceptional alternatives to a game’s main focus that they create experiences a player will never forget!...
