Harmonix has announced that the music of Depeche Mode will be coming toRock Band 3next week, the first for the franchise. “Depeche Mode Pack 01” will include “Never Let Me Down Again,” “Personal Jesus,” and “Policy of Truth” for $5.49/440 MS Points/550 Wii Points. Songs can be purchased individually for $1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points; “Personal Jesus” can be upgrade for Pro Bass/Pro Guitar for 99 cents. Additionally, a single Death Cab for Cutie song will be made available....

There’s not much meat on the bones of this story yet, buta murmur has surfacedhinting that Rockstar will soon be going PS3 exclusive once the multi-platformGrand Theft Auto IVis released. The rumor comes fromPlay Magazine, which claimed in itsGTAIVpreview: “The game is both PS3 and 360, but Rockstar has suggested that all further game development is going to be PS3 exclusive.” I’m not sure what to make of that. If it’s true, then that’s a huge potential success for Sony, but at the same time, it’s difficult to believe that Rockstar would choose to restrict its consumer base, especially withBully: Scholarship Editionpegged for release on the Wii and 360....

In December of 2005, we were blessed with the gift ofRunMan’s Monster Fracas, a simple, charming, and hugely addictive indie game. Now the followup game,RunMan: Race Around the World, has been dated for release! It’s coming October 1st, and a brand new trailer shows off just exactly what we have to look forward to. It looks as ifAround the Worldwill expand greatly on what the first game had to offer. It’s going to be a huge game in comparison, with over 35 levels to traverse, medals to collect, and characters to unlock....

The follow-up toSengoku Basara 3: Samurai Heroes(Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroesto us) is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Wii in Japan. EntitledSengoku Basara 3: Utage(“Utage” being an archaic term for “Party”), Capcom finally revealed that it’s coming July 11, 2025. Capcom are boasting a vast amount of content with this game. There’s the Story Mode which fills in the gaps of the first game, focusing on eight characters that were formerly non-playable — five of which exhibit the “drama” theme that Capcom aims to bring (Kojuro Katakura, Sasuke Sarutobi, Tenkai/Akechi Mitsuhide, Muneshige Tachibana, and new character Hisahide Matsunaga), and the other three offering us a big fat “party” and providing even more comedy relief than the first game did (Hideaki Kobayakawa, Yoshiaki Mogami, and Sorin Otomo....

I’ve not played theDiablo IIIbeta, but I have seen screenshots on IGN which I usually steal to crop their logo out and then use as header images. Still, I can’t help but feel that the game would have been much better as a rhythm-puzzle game. From what I’ve seen,Diablo IIIis an isometric, dungeon-crawling roleplaying game, and I don’t like those, so I decided I want the game to be something that Idolike instead....

Square Enix set message boards on fire at this year’s E3 by announcing thatFinal Fantasy XIIIwould be heading to the Xbox 360. Despite upsettingwhiny teenage fanboyscommitted PlayStation 3 owners, Square Enix hasstuck by its decision, declaring that exclusive titles just aren’t worth it anymore. “Not so long ago the PS2 dominated the market so if we developed an exclusive game for PS2 then we could enjoy a very good profit. According to C21Media, Rovio is working on an animated series. Possibly for TV, possibly for the Internet. In either case, the show is currently in production, or getting to that stage quickly. In a recent financial conference call, Take-Two Interactive made it clear that brick and mortar was still a profitable distribution method, dubbing it the “channel for the foreseeable future,” but downloadable was noted as a brilliant companion. One so viable, it seems, that all future Take-Two titles will have some sort of downloadable component.
