In what could bea job for Captain Obvious, a new Screen Digest report reveals that the Wii has more original IP than its competitors. According to the report, 40 games based on original IP are headed our way in the third quarter and of that number, over half will be Wii games. The report theorizes that low development costs, motion-controls and the target audience are all factors for this slew of original content....

I’ll be the first to admit that I have, in the past, been one of those “hardcore” fans who had displayed nothing but cynicism toward the Wii. Nintendo of America’s insistence on pissing off the “core” demographic and the endless cavalcade of shovelware and PS2 ports didn’t inspire or enthuse in the way such a plucky little system should have done. Fact of the matter is, I didn’t like what the Wii appeared to stand for, and I sure as Hell didn’t like 90% of the system’s so-called “game” library....
The demo will be of a mission called “Buzzsaw,” where Vito and his mobster buddies Joe and Henry are sent to take out “The Fat Man.” The demo takes place during a summer in the 50s, the “Birth of Cool,” an era where rock n’ roll, hot rods, and greasy ass hair were all the rage.
