First shots of Super Meat Boy’s ‘teh internets’

Edmund McMillen of Team Meat sent us some intriguing images this morning. They’re the very first screenshots released fromSuper Meat Boyshowing the Xbox Live Arcade exclusive level, “teh internets.” The image above, of course, is a reference to the classic platform gameBubble Bobble. The smiling face in the green orb (moon? planet?) looks like something I’ve seen on the internet, though I’d be hard pressed to find it on my own and have no idea what it means....

Flick your bean over these new L.A. Noire screenshots

The other day, somebody told me that they were worriedL.A. Noire, after all the hype, would just be anotherGrand Theft Autowith different objectives. That was a while ago and I’m still struggling to think how that could be considered bad. If that’s the worst-case scenario, I’d sayL.A. Noire‘s chances are pretty damn good. I’m hoping, of course, that it’s much more than that and Team Bondi really makes my jaw drop, but I’ll take that worst-case situation if I have to....

Forcibly impregnate some Aliens: Colonial Marines screens

Here’s a fresh batch ofAliens: Colonial Marinesscreenshots for your sordid amusement. Fresh out of Gamescom, these images focus a bit more on the game’s human element, but there are still some cool shots of Xenomorphs being badasses, so they’re worth checking out. Done right, this could be a really panic-inducing game, especially if the image of the Xenomorph dragging the Marine through the floor is something that can happen without warning and regularly enough to spook the living crap out of people....

Funcom are positive about Age of Conan’s future, Xbox 360 version still coming

Okay. It onlyseemslike things are bad for Funcom and their MMOAge of Conan. A few days ago,we reportedthat the company’s CFO, Olav Sadnes, resigned after revealing a nasty 23.3 million dollar fourth quarter loss. In the same story, we mentionedAoC’sdecline in user baseas a sign of weakness at a point in which the game should be thriving. I recently shared a brief e-mail exchange withAoCproject manager, Jorgen Theraldsen, and asked if the gloomy financial news had any impact on development of future content inAoC....

Game Debate to the Death! No More Heroes VS Super Mario Galaxy

Last weekwe saw two Nintendo titans go to combat and the outcome felt just likeKimbo Slice‘s last fight.
