I don’t think that anyone would be surprised to hear that the Nintendo DS will end up being the US’s best-selling game system of 2007. Seriously, as much asCaptain Obvious likes to help outwith stating the obvious, this time he just flew by the Nintendo of America offices as it looked like they had this covered. A press release from Nintendo says that more than 6 million Nintendo DS units have been sold this year through November, which is where they get their “one every five seconds” rate....

We’ve been hearing alotaboutTetristhis week at E3, and I bet a lot of people would have loved to hear about a sequel to a little game calledTetris Attack. I know the rebrandedPanel de PonwithYoshi’s Island-stylings introduced a lot of Westerner’s to a really great game, a popular one that later becamePokémon Puzzle League. It’s really fantastic! However, I would have never thought thatTetris Attackmight be seen as a blight on theTetrisname....

Destructoid has gotten its hands on a world exclusive trailer for the impressive looking Steampunk adventure game,Edge of Twilight. This is a special gift from the studio to us, and can only be viewed on Destructoid. I wanted to keep it to myself, but IguessI’ll share. LittleBigPlaneton Vita has to be seen in person to be believed. It’s beautiful! Sony put together a little playable demo to show off how they worked in all of the new Vita interface types into the LittleBigPlanet world. It wasn’t a long demo, but it did a really good job of showing the seamless feeling of using both the buttons and pads along with the touchscreen and touchpad. It also showed a game that I think looks better than the PS3LittleBigPlanet....

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s gloriousMass Effect 2content descriptor, the ESRB returns with a wonderful summary ofFinal Fantasy XIII. The latest Square Enix RPG has finally been rated for North America, slapped with a T for Teen rating thanks to skimpy leotards, deep cleavage and side boobs. Yes, the ESRB is at it again, pointing out every little sexual detail it can find and making us all giggle in the process....

I was expecting a lot of trash talking aboutBayonetta, but I was surprised when the big thread of the day on one particular board was someone claiming thatDarksidersis better on the PS3 than on the 360. I couldn’t imagine better fanboy bait, and, true to form, I wasn’t disappointed....
