German gaming siteGameFronthas revealed some new information (via Famitsu) regardingResident Evil 5. According to the story,Resident Evil 5producer Jun Takeuchi (Onimusha,Resident Evil 1character designer) reveals that the game is on track to be released in 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will feature more interactive environments than previously seen in the series, including a focus on temperature conditions that will somehow affect gameplay. There’s also a bit of information regarding the game engine that will be able to realistically display facial expressions as well as some really, really nice hair....

On April 15, there will be no more original Xbox Live support. This affects both the original console, games and Xbox Originals that have Live features. Major Nelson doesn’t go into the exact detail on the reasoning behind the change, but does at least say that this will allow for the Live service to evolve and change for the better.
