This is simultaneously the greatest and worst news to hit our site in months. First, let’s look at the good. Team Meat is still working on new, free levels forSuper Meat Boyon Xbox Live Arcade. The current plan is to get the Expert Remix and User-Made chapters out next week. Cheers to that. The bad news lies within the specific levels being remixed,which you can see here. Yup, gaming’s greatest villain in recent times is back with a vengeance — The Kid’s first level is one of the remixes in this collection....

Well, it’s about damn time. Sony revealed during their second press conference of the day thatGran Turismo 5finally has a solid release date. It will be out in March 2010 in Japan and, well, that’s all that was revealed about that. No word on a American or European release date, pricing, or anything else that I could have used to fill up this post so it doesn’t look so small....

[cue dragon scream] Remember theSkyrimbooth dragon at E3 and PAX? It was pretty badass, but it has been called out by Capcom Japan and their booth forDragon’s Dogma. This guy is bigger, meaner looking and if you look at it just right you’ll see that he has his head tilted in a sort of mocking taunt. Where you at,Skyrimdragon? Huh? Where youat?!

While not in the hands of originalOkamideveloper Clover Studios, Capcom’s upcomingOkamidenfor Nintendo DS looks like it’s going to be a worthy successor. The game picks up as a sequel to the original, following the offspring of the characters found in Clover’s original tale.Okamidenwill have players revisiting familiar areas, as well as discovering some new, marrying the game’s brush-stroke gameplay with the Nintendo DS touch screen. Okamidenis out in Japan at the end of September, with a North American and European release set for 2011....

By the numbers (or would it be “numberz”?),The Orange Boxmoved 348,049 units, while Halo 3 was only pushing a paltry 285,860. This seems like a nice victory for Valve, and they should relish in it.The Orange Boxis (without much argument) one of the best values in console gaming....

If you’re near or in Downtown Disney this weekend you’re able to attend the grand opening of The Wonderful World of Gaming, Disney’s newest gaming destination. You can expect Nintendo game systems and Disney-made games, open for play. Wii and DS games can be played in this new attraction, which is located in Once Upon a Toy at WDW. They say to expect the most extensive collection of Disney Interactive videogames there as well....

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a fan of Mark Wahlberg’s work. His performance inFearwill have me keeping a close eye on my future daughter, and P.T. Anderson’sBoogie Nightsis — without a doubt — one of my favorite films of all time. Also, “Good Vibrations” is my ring tone when Niero calls me.So I’ve been very open to the film adaptation ofMax Payne, starring Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. But after seeing this International trailer for the film, I’m not sure what to think anymore....

Traditionally (with a few exceptions), Nintendo has dropped three Virtual Console titles each Monday. But to kick off the new year, Nintendo have decided to say “Screw you!” to tradition, this week only offering two classics on the Wii Shop Channel. The first is the action-adventure/role-playing gameStar Tropics(NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points), which holds the distinction of being one of Nintendo’s earliest games that was solely intended to be marketed towards an English speaking audience....

Aren’t we over the zombie phase by now? Most of the time, it’s an exhilarating rush, whether it be something as carefree as watching a Koopa shell plow through a line of Goombas in aMariogame or as explicitly glorified as the likes ofMadworld. There’s no denying it — killing in games is satisfying. Some games, however, choose not to play on our base desires in such a simplistic manner, even if only for a moment....
