So, there I was, scrolling through the recently-added list of videos on Hulu as I’m known to do on a daily basis, when my mind was utterly blown by childhood memories.Pole Position, the Saturday morning cartoon based on the videogame of same name, is currently available for your viewing pleasure. All 13 corny, wonderful episodes of it. The show has practically nothing to do with the videogame, which we’re all well aware has one of the deepest storylines in gaming....

It has been a long time since I’ve been this excited about a portable RPG. Nothing against the massive numbers of others out there, butthis is one that had me from the beginning, even when it wasfirst teased in Famitsumagazine in Japan awhile back. As a big Shin Megami Tensei fan, I knew I would likely enjoy this game. But now that I’ve actually had time to enjoy some of the review code, I can say that it has exceeded my expectations....

In almost every case, the Wii version of a multiplatform game is somehow “gimped.” In other words, it lacks some of the features and characteristics of the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 version (aside from the inevitable lack of visual fidelity, when compared to high-definition graphics, that comes with being a Wii game). Beyond all genres, rhythm/music games are by far my favorite. I’ve rocked rock games, danced and waved my arms to dance games, and button tapped the button-tapping games. Other than karaoke games, hip-hop, R&B and rap have largely been forgotten by the Harmonixes, Konamis and Activisions of the world....

There’s always time for stories about glitches inModern Warfare 2. Yes, once again 2009’s most popular shooter has been exploited by people who feel accomplished by cheating in videogames. The latest bug arrived in very much the same way asthe last one— it’s a PC mod that has been smuggled onto the Xbox 360 version. This new glitch grants players the ability to move in fast-motion, and players get the feeling that they’re skating on ice while they move....

When I picked up an Xbox 360 at launch, I was giddy over the idea of achievement points. I even vowed that I would not stop playing a game until I had completed all of the achievement tasks; this quickly went to hell when I finishedCondemned, and had no desire to go back and find a handful of dead birds. The mutant up there is (barely) living proof that games don’t have to be set in the dark to be creepy. Call of Pripyat, the follow-up toS.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, is nearing release for those of us not living in Russia or Germany. We can’t have our mutants grunting in anything but fluent English, you dig? PC gamers, especially those looking to justify DirectX 11’s existence, will surely want to take note....

Edison Yan is an artist with 5th Cell who became internet famous after immortalizing the now-infamous “Post #217” with a painting of his own....

Activision has finally unveiled the voice actor behind the ‘Amazing’ Spider-Man in the upcomingSpider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and it’s none other than Neil Patrick Harris. The actor had previously voiced Spider-Man in 2003’sSpider-Man: The New Animated Series, and is currently a nerd icon superstar for his role in Joss Whedon’sDr. Horrible, and just basically being awesome. Other voice acting for the title’s various dimensions: “Ultimate” Spider-Man will be voiced by Josh Keaton; “Noir” will be voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes; and “2099” will be voiced by Dan Gilvezan....

How doesSega Rally Online Arcadesound to you? To the Korean “Game Ratings Board,” it sounds like a game that’s appropriate for all ages. What is it? Not sure. It hasn’t been announced by Sega, who shot back a “no comment” toEurogamerwhen asked what was up. The listing was filed by Sony Computer Entertainment Korea, however, so that points to the title coming — at the very least — to a Sony console....
