You have to love NECA. It’s been revealed that the creator of quality action figures is currently planning to craft figures based onBorderlandsandSplinter Cell. This is all according to NECA’s Twitter account, where it promised “Borderlands,Splinter Celland loads more to come.” NECA makes some really hot stuff. From its game-based wares to its awesome Aliens figures, the company is responsible for some great looking toys. I’d be really interested to see how wellBorderlandstranslates into an action figure, and you may sign me up for a Mordecai at the very least....

Attention San Francisco folks! There’s a new arcade in town and it’s the last refuge for you fighting fans within the city. Southtown Arcade just opened up shop and is a simple little spot with just over a dozen arcade cabinets. All the cabinets are of the Japanese-style sit down variety and each cost just twenty-five cents to operate. The newest cabinet the shop currently has isThe King of Fighters XIIIwhile the rest are made up of something every fighter will enjoy....

If you are one of the lucky ones in the beta, there are three new maps being added today. “Grain Elevator” is a mix of long-range outdoor combat and inside fighting; “Red October Factory” is an infantry and tank map; and “Barracks” is mostly an indoor map that will put you right in your enemy’s face....

Looks like there’s a newNeed For Speedgame on the way and it was accidentally revealed early it seems! UK retailerShopTo.nethas a listing forNeed For Speed: The Run, box art and all. Plus there’s even a trailer! Whoops! The new game looks like it’s returning to the story driven focused style ofNeed For Speedgames and speculation is that this is coming from Black Box studio. We’ve reached out to EA for comment but I expect we’ll be hearing an official word very soon....

The biggest (confirmed) hardware launch of the year is right around the corner as Nintendo gears up to release glasses-free 3D gaming on an unwitting world. Since this is kind of a big deal, the Big N will be playing host to a big launch event in New York City this coming Saturday, March 26th. Check the storage space on your Wii. It’s not looking so hot now, right? With only 512mb of on-board storage, all of our Virtual Console downloads are feeling squished under the weight of these new WiiWare titles, and Nintendo still has yet to offer a new storage solution. This is something some of us have been complaining about from day one, and I’m sure Nintendo knows how we feel by now....
