Here’s a 15 minute video of Oni and Evil Ryu in action. The video quality is great, but the camera man is either very frail or very drunk, as he keeps fumbling and flopping around with the camera. The two guys playing also seem a bit off, as they have the tendency to just suddenly stop fighting every once in a while. Be prepared to be occasionally annoyed. There are four shorter, slightly blurry videos below, but what the lack in length and fidelity, they make up for in action....

DJ Hero 2is great, but if you’ve been playing it non-stop since release, you’re probably ready for some new tracks. Today, Activision has announced the availability of the “Hit Makers Track Pack” for the title, including music from Usher, Rihanna, and Big Boi & Cutty. The pack will cost you $7.99/640 MS Points; Wii owners get screwed out of a dollar and can buy each track for 300 Wii Points a piece....

Dust 514, CCP’s first-person shooter outlet through which theEVE Onlineuniverse will reach consoles, won’t require an actual subscription to play. Instead, the game will use real money-based micro-transactions at its “virtual items marketplace,” accordingto Eurogamer. To me, it sounds like a free-to-play model, except we’re still paying the $60 entry fee forDust 514. And if you’re using an Xbox 360, you still have to pay the Xbox LIVE bill. Honestly, it’s like the worst of both worlds....

Sure, I’m mostly looking forward to the surprises of E3 (and from what I hear, there will be many). But the simple fact thatBrütal Legendwill be at the show in some form or another is enough to get me out of bed and off to the convention center when it opens up tomorrow. Electronic Arts have already dished out a new batch of screens, many of them with a focus on the game’s vehicles – you’re able to see Rat Fink-inspired buses and choppers, each one more brutal than the next....

I typically don’t get along with “realistic” racing games, but I’ll love any good racer that does something a little over-the-top. This is why I am somewhat drawn toNail’d, a new bike racing game from Southpeak Interactive. It trades in realistic physics for sheer speed, and surprisingly it works out quite well. In case you didn’t believe Joshwhen he saidKinect Sportswas essentially the Xbox 360’s take onWii Sports, here are screenshots — way more than you would probably ever want — to convince you otherwise. See?See? It’s, like, the same thing. Clearly. Soccer, beach volleyball, bowling, table tennis, track and field, and boxing are what this game entails. I don’t know how to feel about Rare being the development team behindKinect Sports, to be frank....

Personally, I’ve been a skeptic about OnLive for some time, but if they’re willing to give early users a year for free, then hey, maybe it’s worth at least checking out. Anyone else interested in possibly giving OnLive a shot if it’s free for the first year?

Namco Bandai has revealed plans to bring two of its popular franchises over to the 3DS:Pac-Man Party 3DandAce Combat 3D. That second one is, as you might expect, a working title. No assets for either game yet, unfortunately.Pac-Man Party 3Dis all about those wacky mini-games, and partying; those “pellets” have always been of questionable origin. Few details on the game, but it’ll probably be along the lines of the Wii version....

As if to confirm everything Activision said about it last week, Electronic Arts is back with yet more petty sniping. After Eric Hirshberg last week said EA’s mudslinging wasbad for the industry, EA has retorted with mocking tones, claimingCall of Dutywill die in three years. “Welcome to the big leagues Eric,” said EA corporate communications chief Jeff Brown. “I know you’re new in the job but someone should have told you this is a competitive industry....

We all know that online gaming is popular these days, but apparently there are only a few of us left who want to retain some good single-player, story-driven experiences. Electronic Arts appears to have given up on them entirely, with EA Games president Frank Gibeau claiming the days of such games are over. “It’s one of my core cultural studio values to allow developers to decide more on what they want to build,” he explains....

It’s not just the gamers that have been screwed over by unfair and oppressive DRM measures. Apparently, not even Electronic Arts’ own employees are safe from the nonsense surroundingCommand & Conquer 4. As you should all know by now,C&C4will boot players if their Internet connection drops. This has frustrated EA.com’s editor-in-chief, Jeff Green. “Booted twice — and progress lost — on my single-playerC&C4game because my DSL connection blinked. DRM fail. We need new solutions,” wrote the exasperated writer....
