What do you do with a 3DS and free time on your hand in Japan? Make a giant home-made AR card of course! For those unfamiliar with them, AR cards are those little Augmented Reality cards that the 3DS can read and project a 3D model onto. Some guys have made a huge one, to generate a Mii that rivals the size of some manga/anime robot thing I’m glad I don’t recognize....
Normally, this is the post where I’d bitch about how I’m tired of all of the mini-games coming to the Wii. But the Majesco publishedFuru Furu Park, developed by Taito and 505 games, is so damned adorable that I just want to wrap it up in my arms and hug it until it chokes to death. The game will feature 30 arcade-style mini games, all of which will take advantage of the Wii Remote’s motion capabilities....
There’s a image floating around that’s supposed to show selectable language tracks for the voices of the characters in Capcom’s upcoming brawler,Marvel vs Capcom 3. If it’s the real thing, from the looks of this screen you’ll be able to independently select English or Japanese for each character. I think it would be cool for the characters to speak their native tongues. I also think it would be neat for the characters to say their commands using Google Voice’s voice-to-text translation....

FINALLY! After years of waiting, some true PSOne Classicsare comingto the PSN’s PSOne Classics store. The ESRB has done what the ESRB does best and leaked details of five PSX games headed to the PS3’s online service, chief among them being Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil: Director’s Cut. Spec Ops: Covert Assault,Spec Ops: Ranger EliteandTom Clancy’s Rainbow Sixhave also been rated and all look to be hitting the PSN. It would appear as if SCEA is finally getting up off its arse and bringing some serious heavy metal to the PSOne Classics section, which still remains one of my favorite elements of the PS3....
CVG found this video which surfaced on YouTube. It appears to be the opening toMetroid: Other Mand recounts the epic finale ofSuper Metroid. I’m only hazarding a guess as I don’t understand Japanese, but this has all the makings of an introductory cinematic. It could be a trailer, though. Hard to say. How freaking cool is that fight between Mother Brain and Samus? They’re doing a pretty good job of capturing how I felt while in that moment when I playedSuper Metroidfor the first time....
Wow, what a move. First you’re at the house of boobs, ninjas and warriors, and then you move to a place where crops and farmer hats are the most popular things. I’m sure former Tecmo Koei boss Kenji Matsubara got over the difference in coolness quick. It’s no secret that Zynga and their Facebook games are a huge success. The company recently expanded to Japan, and Matsubara is now heading up operations there....

BothinFamousandPrototypeare looking pretty good, and up until now I found it hard to pick a favorite between the two super-powered antihero sandbox games. However, this new trailer has quite frankly catapultedPrototypeinto my favor. Violence fetishists will not be disappointed with this new video. Quite arrogantly calling itself “Top 10 Reasons You Must HavePrototype,” the trailer makes a most compelling argument. Throwing victims into helicopters, riding hapless soldiers like surf boards and murdering vehicle passangers like some parka-clad xenomorph are just some of the ridiculous things shown....

I’m pretty excited for Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman. NISA just released a glut of new screenshots showing a few environments, a battle and some dialogue. I’d be lying if I said I understood all or even most of what’s going on in here. I’m not sure if it’s really simple or really complicated. Doesn’t really matter. The title’scharming backstoryhas me curious enough that I’ll give the game a try when it comes out this Fall....
