Atlus is busy preparing some RPG lovin’ for the PS3 withDemon’s Souls. This open-ended online dungeon-y role-playing thing is beauty is being dangled before our eyes, teasing us for the October 6th release date. We’ve wanted to know a bit more about the gameplay’s finer points for some time now, and now Atlus revealed a bit more about the World and Character Tendency systems to us in an online press showing....

As I’msure you all heard, reports thatFallout 3‘sThe Pittadd-on was plagued with graphical glitches and other weirdness made the rounds recently, and everyone made a huge deal out it. While it’s perfectly acceptable to demand excellence, I think a few people went a little overboard. But, this is the Internet we’re talking about, after all. Long story short, if you downloaded the corrupt version ofThe Pitt, you’ll need to erase the file and downloaded the clean one (which is now available) from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace....
Last week we brought you someclassic Zelda goodness, and much like the series itself, we’re back this week to do the whole thing over again … only … you know, newer. Tonight we’ll be covering the new stuff likeWind Waker,Minish Cap,Twilight Princess, andPhantom Hourglass, as well as those couple of obscure Game Boy Color titles that nobody played but Dyson and me. In addition to the warm, buttery Hyrule memories, we’ll have the usual Virtual Console update from Chad, somebody will hopefully make some waffles, and I’ll be there with some gentle words of constructive criticism for Microsoft after this week’s stellar XBLA releases....
Xbox 360 Fanboyis reporting that they’ve obtained insider information that reveals details on one of Rare’s new Xbox 360 titles. Surprisingly, not only is the game an Xbox Live Arcade title, but it will use that Vision camera we’ve been using to flip off unsuspectingUnoplayers. CalledThe Fast & The Furriest, the title is an Arcade party sports game, with events like the 100 meter dash, the bungee run, hurdles, and something called “tip-tup” curling (which seems to be a reference toDiddy Kong Racing‘s turtle character, Tiptup)....
Tiger Uppercut! The big, bald Thai guy comes to the iPhone version ofStreet fighter IVwith an upcoming update, saysShoryuken. We don’t have any details, but we know he’s coming, eyepatch and all. The update also brings new functionality. While playing the single player game, you can have your system ready and waiting for a two-player match. You’ll also be able to view other player’s information cards to see their stats and achievements....
Capcom’s iOS fighter,Street Fighter IV Volt, will be getting a free update soon. It seems that both Sakura and Makoto will be added to the mix, joining the 17 other fighters already available. Voltis the follow up to Capcom’s solid iOS port ofStreet Fighter IV, and adds Wi-Fi versus battles to the mobile fighter. It’s available now on the App Store for $6.99. Street Fighter IVwas impressive on iOS, but I didn’t find myself playing it all that often....
Developer TimeGate Studios is doing everything it can to makeSection 8: Prejudice, the sequel to its original 2009 first-person shooter, the best it can be. The developer has announced today that it will be holding a multiplayer beta for the game for PC users this fall; you can sign-up online now to participate. “Feedback from the originalSection 8played a key role in how we shaped Prejudice,” TimeGate CEO Adel Chaveleh says ,”and our multiplayer beta provides the perfect opportunity to further our commitment to the IP and our community....
The party is over forShadowbaneplayers. After six long years — a few of them tumultuous thanks to massive overhauls — Ubisoft’sShadowbanewill be no more. Starting on May 1, the lights will go out for the free-to-play MMO. In amorose letter on the official Web site, the development team thanked players for their long-running support. “We come to you now with regret and sadness, but also happiness and pride,” the letter to fans reads....
As I come close to the end ofPersona 4, I find myself both feeling accomplished that I made it this far and truly sad that it’s almost over: the unique atmosphere, incredible characters and compelling story rank it as the best RPG I’ve played in many months, and I can only recommend it with the highest compliments to anyone looking for a great game to play. That being said, the game is being featured inAmazon’s Deal of the Day for $25....
A rumor surfaced last night via Jessica Chobot’sIGN blog(and thenhereafterwards) about possible specs of the PSP 2. While the source was anonymous, the specs were certainly worth talking about:there was mention of an Ericsson logo, no UMD drive, a screen flipped out w/ keyboard underneath (QWERTY style) and more. MCVspoke to “a source close to Sony” directly about the rumor, resulting in a rather fiery reply: “Clearly, being a quiet time of year, many, what we thought to be credible websites, are making up stories about stories about PSP2, and how it allows you to teleport across the globe, travel through time, and will be powered by the horns of baby rhinoceroses,” Sony explained....
Ubisoft’s long-awaitedSplinter Cell: Convictionfinally has a release date, and it’s beenliterallyset in stone. The European publisher has carved the release date on an actual stone and sent it to IGN, thus demonstrating that this release date is final and that there will be no delays … at least for now. Convictionwill ship on July 18, 2025 for the Xbox 360 and PC. That’s about all there is to it. So, let’s ask the question: Who among you is buying this bitch?...
