Rumors of an all-new Counter-Strike game have been whirling around this morning, with word that top CS players have been flown to Valva’s offices for top secret shenanigans. Amid fan speculation on Steam’s forums, a name wasteasedby Valve’s very own “Cliffe” —Global Offensive. ESL Pro manager Bastian Vieser went on tostraight-up saythat he’d been playingCounter-Strike: Global Offensiveall day. While anti-cheat providers ESEA planted the name on itsFacebook page. It’s not known if this will be an expansion or a brand new game, but with so much corroborating evidence, solid news is likely to surface soon....

[Update: Harmonix’s has responded with astatementon the matter.] Viacomhas confirmedthat it will sellRock Banddeveloper Harmonix, in a move that has beaten analysts’ profit estimates for the quarter. There is currently no word on where the studio is going or what this means for MTV Games, since Harmonix was the only thing MTV Games had going for it. Seriously … that’s it. Pretty huge news, yet totallynothingelse to say at this time!...

Super Pokemon Scramble? The name sounds like an omelette with little pocket monsters in it instead of bacon or ham. I guess that would be Supper Pokemon Scramble. I’d like a side of Dugtrio sausage, please. Super Pokemon Scrambleis set in the world of toys, and all the little Pokemon can be wound up and set loose. It all plays out in an overhead view, as you’ll see. There’s two-player wireless co-op, but the madness starts in the Totsugeki Battle, where lots of Pokemon are running at each other....

I’m not sure if I should seriously describe whatWorld of LordCraftis or just cue up the laugh track and let it roll on for a solid ten minutes. If you haven’t guessed from the lawsuit worthy name, the trailer above for the upcoming MMO castle building game (I think that is what it is) is pretty much the biggest rip off ofWorld of Warcraftever made. They really don’t seem to have changed anything....

The Xbox 360’s best racing peripheral just got a little better. Microsoft has slashed $30 off the Wireless Racing Wheel’s price tag, although you can probably get it for even less on eBay. But still, a price drop is a price drop and I’m glad they didn’t wait until after Christmas to sweeten the deal. Slight warning to potential buyers: not all games are compatible with the racing wheel.
